NCT ID: NCT01453465 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Childhood Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumor

Biomarker Study in Samples From Patients With Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor of the Kidney or Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor

Start date: November 1, 2011
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This research trial studies biomarkers in samples from patients with rhabdoid tumor of the kidney and atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor. Studying biomarkers of tissue samples from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes the occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01401777 Withdrawn - Kidney Tumors Clinical Trials

Electromagnetic Tracking of Devices During Interventional Procedures - A Cryoablation Study

Start date: December 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objective of this study is to assess and quantify any differences between assisted (using real-time visualization of tracked cryo-probes) and unassisted cryoablation procedures using pre-procedure CT scans or CT fluoroscopy with respect to: Primary Endpoint: • "TRE" Target Registration Error (distance between "virtual" needle position (tracking data) and the actual needle position (CT confirmation scan)) Secondary Endpoints - Accuracy of needle targeting - The vector of each needle insertion (The initial vector allows us to project the path to the pre-defined target. If the initial entry point is not ideal, the path to the target will need adjustment) Based on a two-sample t-test (significance level of 0.05, two-tailed), the study has 89% power to detect a difference of 2mm in accuracy between the two treatment groups (assuming a standard deviation of 1.9mm). - Measure time difference between assisted and unassisted procedure

NCT ID: NCT01355562 Withdrawn - Melanoma Clinical Trials

Trial of Outpatient Intravenous Interleukin-2 in Malignant Melanoma and Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Start date: March 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The current study will test single agent IL-2 in stage IV melanoma and kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00922948 Withdrawn - Renal Cancers Clinical Trials

Cryoablation Versus Radiofrequency Ablation for Small Renal Masses

Start date: March 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to verify the oncological efficacy and safety of cryoablation and radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of small renal tumors.

NCT ID: NCT00908739 Withdrawn - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Studying Tumor Tissue Samples From Patients Who Have Undergone Surgery for Localized Kidney Cancer

Start date: May 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

RATIONALE: Studying samples of tumor tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer. PURPOSE: This research study is looking at tumor tissue samples from patients who have undergone surgery for localized kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00858975 Withdrawn - Renal Tumors Clinical Trials

Study of Cryotherapy for Renal Tumors

Start date: October 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to study the change of tumor size and serum cytokine in the patients who received cryotherapy for the renal tumors.

NCT ID: NCT00769990 Withdrawn - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Genistein in Treating Patients Undergoing External-Beam Radiation Therapy for Bone Metastases

Start date: September 2008
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Genistein may increase the effectiveness of radiation therapy in treating pain caused by bone metastases. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects of genistein and to see how well it works in treating patients undergoing external-beam radiation therapy for pain caused by bone metastases.

NCT ID: NCT00489710 Withdrawn - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Talabostat in Treating Patients With Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Start date: December 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Talabostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well talabostat works in treating patients with metastatic kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00311545 Withdrawn - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

S0351, CNTO 328 in Treating Patients With Unresectable or Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as CNTO 328, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well CNTO 328 works in treating patients with unresectable or metastatic kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00293527 Withdrawn - Renal Cancer Clinical Trials

Interferon Alpha-2b (Intron A) for Metastatic or Unresectable Clear Cell Renal Carcinoma

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will determine the response rate of daily low dose interferon-alpha-2b in patients with metastatic or unresectable clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
