Patient delay in seeking medical attendance for symptoms of acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is the major obstacle to reduce the current mortality from acute coronary syndromes. The Mini RELF device is a hand held self applicable device intended to detect on an individual basis an elevation of the ST segment that is indicative for an acute coronary occlusion. The investigators aim to evaluate the accuracy of Mini RELF device when it is self-applied on a daily basis by patients with coronary artery disease.

This study aims to evaluate if the 1-hour rule-in/rule-out algorithm for a high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) is safe and effective for use in the primary care where the patients have a lower pretest probability of an acute myocardial infarction (MI). During this study troponins will be collected at 0-, 1- and 4/6-hours, where absolute changes in the values will decide whether the patient need hospitalization or not.

Primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is the main reperfusion therapy in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The optimal platelet inhibition at the time of PCI is fundamental, however, the comparative speed of action of cangrelor as opposed to tirofiban and to chewed or integer loading dose of prasugrel is unknown. The purpose of this trial is to assess the inhibition of platelet aggregation with different regimens on platelet inhibition (tirofiban bolus+infusion, cangrelor bolus+infusion, prasugrel chewed loading dose, prasugrel integer loading dose) in the early phase of primary PCI.

A Double-blind Study to Investigate Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of BAY 1142524 in Patients After Acute Myocardial Infarction With Left-ventricular Dysfunction

The purpose of the trial is the analysis of safety and efficacy of the chymase inhibitor BAY1142524 at a dose of 25 mg BID in comparison to placebo using a 6 months treatment period in patients with left-ventricular (LV) dysfunction after myocardial infarction (MI). BAY1142524 or placebo will be given on top of evidence-based standard of care for left-ventricular dysfunction after myocardial infarction. Primary objective is the analysis of first signs of efficacy as determined by favourable changes in functional parameters of adverse cardiac remodelling (i.e. endsystolic and enddiastolic volume index, ejection fraction). Secondary objective is the analysis of safety and tolerability as evidenced by the incidence and severity of adverse events. 30 patients have to complete treatment with verum and 30 patients have to complete treatment with placebo.

Single-center, prospective, descriptive and biomedical research with controls, without health product. Depression is the second risk factor for stroke as tobacco smoking following hypertension. Peripheral abnormalities in serotonin parameters were described in depression and tobacco smoking. The investigators hypothesized dysregulations in pathways of serotonin (5-HT), which has notably complex vasomotor effects and of kynurenine which could have cognitive dysfunction effects. The aim of this study is to evaluate simultaneously the involvement of serotonin and kynurenine pathways parameters in patients suffering from a cerebral infarction shortly after the onset (less than 4 hours and a half), within a 2 days follow-up (Day 1 and Day 2) and 3 months after the cerebral infarction.
