View clinical trials related to Impaired Glucose Tolerance.
Filter by:The purpose of this study is to determine the short-term effect of a nutritional program consisting of a yerba mate supplement, fiber supplement, and intermittent fasting on glycemic variability in men and women with risk factors for impaired fasting glucose.
The study is a parallel, double blind, controlled trial in which study participants will receive a 12-week intervention with 3.6 g/d dried bitter-gourd supplements or a reference intervention with 3.6 g/d dried cucumber supplements. Research subjects will come to the research facility for a test day on four occasions, with an interval of 4 weeks. The main study parameter is fasting levels of plasma glucose.
This 12 week placebo-controlled study evaluates the efficacy and safety of E. hallii supplementation.
Development, implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of lifestyle recommendations for the prevention of type 2 diabetes in rural population of Ukraine
The goal of this protocol is to evaluate the effect of addhing linagliptin to patients with prediabetes who do not reverse to normoglycemia after 12 months of treatment with metformin alone. The duration of the study will be 6 months, and it is primarily a efficacy study. Main outcomes will be glucose levels during OGTT, insulin secretion and pancreatic beta cell function measured by the disposition index derived from the OGTT.
This project will determine exercise capacity and molecular markers of the response to acute exercise in human subjects with impaired or normal glucose tolerance.
Diabetes contributes significantly to the burden of disease in Norway and cardiovascular disease is the main cause of mortality. Both lean and fatty fish are shown to have beneficial health effects. In addition to omega-3 fatty acids, fish contain potential health-promoting components such as taurine, vitamin D, vitamin B12, iodine, selenium and more unspecified components such as bioactive peptides. With the expected growth in the aquaculture sector, more protein-rich by-products will become available. The overall aim of this project is to investigate the health beneficial effects of fish protein in the form of salmon fishmeal in a human intervention study with regard to metabolic risk markers. We will include subjects with impaired glucose tolerance to a randomized controlled parallel study. The subjects will receive capsules with fishmeal or placebo.
Purpose of the study: - to assess the efficacy of Subetta in the treatment of impaired glucose tolerance - to assess the safety of Subetta in the treatment of impaired glucose tolerance.
It is well known that Chitosan oligosaccharide is low molecular weight and water soluble and chitosan oligosaccharide has been shown to reduce blood cholesterol and blood pressure, increase immunity, and enhance antitumor properties. the effect of chitosan oligosaccharide (GO2KA1) supplementation on glucose control in subjects with normal blood glucose, impaired fasting glucose and impaired glucose tolerance.
The primary objective of the proposed study is to examine and understand the impact of long-term almond consumption on chronic glucose metabolism in subjects with impaired glucose tolerance and/or impaired fasting glucose.
