Filter by:The study will be a randomized, open-label trial in children with the initial episode of SSNS and whose state of complete remission after received standard prednisolone, to determine whether rituximab (a single intravenous infusion of 375 mg/m2) would be noninferior to corticosteroid alone in maintaining complete disease remission during 12-month of follow-up.
1. To assess the value of serum Pentraxin-3 and high sensitive CRP in females with normal pregnancy and females with gestational diabetes mellitus in second trimester of pregnancy. 2. To study correlations between serum Pentraxin-3 and High sensitive CRP in gestational diabetes.
The goal of this study is to evaluate the consistency between in vitro tumor organoid drug sensitivity and the therapeutic efficacy of in vivo drug treatment. Participants are required to provide one of fresh tumor tissues (including ascites, pleural effusion, biopsy tissues, palliative surgery specimens, etc.) for the purpose of culturing tumor organoids.
Preventing food allergic reactions predominantly relies on allergen avoidance and managing this daily causes high anxiety in some patients, while having an allergic reaction can cause a post-traumatic stress disorder-like syndrome in children. The underlying mechanisms of these psychological changes are poorly understood, but one potential mechanism may be post-natal hippocampal neurogenesis (HN). HN is the production of new neurons from stem cells in the hippocampus which is one of the brain centres for memory and mood regulation. HN has been associated with cognitive function and some psychiatric disorders. Importantly, it can be influenced by both internal (bloodstream) and external (exercise, diet, etc.) factors. This study will explore the link between food allergy and children's mental health and cognition, and to determine whether this is linked to changes in HN.
The aim of the present project is to clinically evaluate the bleaching effectiveness, tooth sensitivity, gingival irritation and patient´s satisfaction during a at-home bleaching with 10% carbamide peroxide using a conventional bleaching tray or a clear aligner.
The objectives of the CAJESITO study are (i) to assess the tolerance of oral cashew nut immunotherapy, by describing the frequency and severity of allergic reactions during oral cashew nut immunotherapy and (ii )to assess the risk factors for severe allergic reactions during oral cashew nut immunotherapy (predictive factors, associated factors.
To improve accuracy and take out human error opportunities, Hippo Dx developed S.P.A.T., an automated skin prick test. This study will provide a comparison between manual and automated skin prick test in allergic and non-allergic individuals with a panel of common inhalant allergens. The primary endpoint is to compare the accuracy of S.P.A.T. to detect sensitization to common aeroallergens compared to a manual skin prick test (SPT). It is a prospective monocentric study that will include 120 study participants.
Use of first-line pre-operative antibiotic prophylaxis is the most effective measure to optimize perioperative outcomes. However, this is often not achieved due to unsubstantiated penicillin allergy labels. Penicillin allergy evaluation, when incorporated into routine pre-operative assessment, is potentially effective in optimizing choice of surgical prophylaxis. Despite the encouraging data mentioned above, there is a lack of randomized trials or local data to support this practice.
This study will assess the effect of taking vitamin C on allergy skin test.
The purpose of the study is to use the polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT) developed by Singapore Eye Research Institute, to evaluate the potential OCT scleral biomarkers capable of predicting risk of myopia progression.
