Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This is a non-randomized, open-label study of a fixed dose combination (FDC) of elbasvir (50 mg) and grazoprevir (100 mg) (EBR/GZR or MK-5172A) in participants with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 (GT1) infection with advanced fibrosis with and without human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) co-infection. All participants will be either HCV treatment naïve (TN) or treatment experienced (TE).

NCT ID: NCT03125213 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Hepatitis B, Chronic

A Study Evaluating AL-3778 in Combination With Peginterferon Alpha-2a in Chronic Hepatitis B Subjects

Start date: September 12, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 2a, multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluating the safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of AL-3778 in combination with Peg-IFN in subjects with Hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) positive CHB virus infection who are treatment-naïve. The study will consist of a screening phase , a double-blind treatment phase followed by treatment with Peg-IFN alone, and a post-treatment follow-up phase. Approximately 30 subjects to complete the study. Eligible subjects will be randomized into 2 treatment arms in a 2:1 ratio (active:placebo) to receive one of the following treatments: - Arm A: Peg-IFN plus AL-3778 (N=20) - Arm B: Peg-IFN plus matching placebo (N=10)

NCT ID: NCT03109730 Completed - Chronic Hepatitis B Clinical Trials

Phase 1b/2a Study of ABI-H0731 in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis B

Start date: June 15, 2017
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this protocol is to obtain pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic data on ABI-H0731 and to provide the opportunity for preliminary evaluation of combination therapy of ABI-H0731 with currently approved antiviral treatment for chronic hepatitis B.

NCT ID: NCT03108794 Recruiting - Chronic Hepatitis B Clinical Trials

A Nation-wide Hospital-based Hepatitis B Registry:China Registry of Hepatitis B

Start date: June 30, 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

CR-HepB registry started in June 30,2012 to collect HBV cases from general hospitals or specialized hospitals for infectious diseases in mainland China. Demographics, diagnosis, laboratory test results, family history and prescriptions were recorded. The main criteria for registration is HBsAg-positivity more than 6 months, and these patients will receive followed-up visits every three to six months.

NCT ID: NCT03105349 Withdrawn - HCV Clinical Trials

A Clinical Trial of 16 Weeks of Duration to Evaluate Retreatment With Elbasvir/Grazoprevir Plus Sofosbuvir and Ribavirin in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis C Genotypes 1,4 Who Have Failed to Treat With a Regime Based on an Inhibitor of the NS5A

C-RESCUE
Start date: July 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase 4 clinical trial to treat patients who have failed to treat with regimen based on an inhibitor of the NS5A

NCT ID: NCT03105310 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatitis D, Chronic

Pegylated Interferon Alone or in Combination With Ezetimibe for Patients With Chronic Hepatitis D

Start date: January 2016
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Ezetimibe possesses pharmacophore features to inhibit NTCP, the receptor required for HBV and HDV hepatocyte entry, that include two hydrophobes and one hydrogen bond acceptor. The aim of the study io evaluate the utility of Ezetimibe in combination with pegylated interferon in patients with chronic HDV infection.

NCT ID: NCT03099278 Recruiting - Chronic Hepatitis D Clinical Trials

Ezetimibe for Patients With Chronic Hepatitis D

Start date: January 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Ezetimibe possesses pharmacophore features to inhibit NTCP, the receptor required for HBV and HDV hepatocyte entry that include two hydrophobes and one hydrogen bond acceptor. Therapy with Ezetimibe may lead to decline in hepatitis D virus levels. The aim of the study is to evaluate the utility of Ezetimibe in patients with chronic HDV infection

NCT ID: NCT03098121 Completed - Chronic Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Tolerability of Grazoprevir and Elbasvir in Patients With Chronic Genotype 1 HCV and HIV Co-infection

Start date: October 20, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This clinical study will evaluate whether grazoprevir and elbasvir is efficacious, safe, and well-tolerated in peginterferon alfa plus ribavirin experienced patients who inject drugs (PWID) and men who sex with men (MSM) with genotype 1 HCV and HIV co-infection.

NCT ID: NCT03090035 Completed - Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

Impact of Interleukin 28B (rs12979860) Genotype on Virological Responses Chronic Hepatitis C Treatment

Start date: January 1, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Objective: Pegulated Interferon α2 plus ribavirin is a treatment of choice in patients with chronic hepatitis C infection. This study was conducted to find out the frequency of different IL-28B (rs12979860) genotypes in patients with chronic hepatitis C (HCV genotype type 2 & 3) infection treated with Pegulated Interferon α2 plus ribavirin and to evaluate the role of IL-28B genotypes in achieving Sustained Virological Response (SVR). Methods: In this non-randomized observational study, ninety eight (98) patients with diagnosis of chronic hepatitis C were included. In all patients, Peg-IFN plus Ribavirin were given in standard doses for 24 weeks. End treatment response, sustained virological response, and relapse rate were the primary endpoints of this study. Analysis of IL28B (rs12979860) polymorphism (CC, CT and TT) was performed by PCR-RFLP protocol.
