NCT ID: NCT06207084 Not yet recruiting - Physical Activity Clinical Trials

The Fit With Us Study

FITWITHUS
Start date: May 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this 32 week study is to use an innovative experimental design known as SMART (Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trial), which will allow us to determine the best way to sequence the delivery of teleexercise (referred to as an adaptive intervention), combined with predictive analytics on participant adherence in a stepped program of physical activity interventions. All 257 participants will have access to a library of recorded video exercise content, and a weekly wellness article. Some participants will receive health coaching calls (1st randomization). Analytic data will be used to determine which participants are responding or not responding to the intervention. Participants not responding after 4 weeks will receive either live one on one or group exercise training (2nd randomization). After 8 weeks, the participant will receive only pre recorded exercise content and articles for another 8 weeks. After final surveys, participants will have open access to the website for another 16 weeks where we will passively observe their fitbit and website data. The study outcomes are: The effectiveness of the adaptive interventions Exploring mediating and moderating variables Sensitivity analysis of the predictive analytics

The Effect of Health Literacy Education in Adults (HELP-e-Pulse)

HELP-e-Pulse
Start date: June 2, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The world's elderly population is increasing. It is possible to prepare for the old age period by starting to develop the level of Health Literacy (HL) in the 45-64 age group. In this context, this study is planned to be conducted as a randomized controlled study with an active control group in order to compare the effect of European Health Literacy-based education and e-Pulse education (HELP) on the level of health literacy in adults aged 45-64 with insufficient-limited health literacy. The study was planned to include a total of 140 participants from the intervention group (HELP) (n:70) and the active control group (e-Pulse) (n:70). Interactive group training consisting of six modules and 90 minutes each will be given to the HELP group. Individual e-Pulse instruction will be given to the active control group. European Health Literacy Scale scores will be considered as the primary outcome of the research. Scores from the eHealth Literacy Scale will be considered as the secondary outcome of the research.

Longitudinal Study of Health Literacy in the Municipality of Leiria

Lisa
Start date: November 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Health literacy (HL) is a topic of increasing importance todays' ever-changing world. Over the past few decades, HL has gained importance, as it is a factor related to health behaviors and outcomes. In Portugal, the last survey was in 2016 and 61% of the population had a problematic or inadequate level of HL in general. Lisa is a cohort study that will measure HL in the adult population residing in the municipality of Leiria over the next 4 years, with measurements every 2 years. Over the years we will promote activities and interventions adjusted to the needs of Leiria's population. At the end we want to understand the changes during the years and improve the health care provided.

Evaluation of the Effectiveness of "School Health Nursing Program" Implemented Under the Leadership of Nurse

Start date: April 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It is very important for children to take their own health responsibilities in giving them positive health behavior. The rapid advancement of technology, cultural differences, changing living conditions, and increasing chronic diseases show us that people should have the authority to make decisions about their own health, starting from primary school and childhood. All these bring the concept of health literacy to the fore. According to WHO, the concept of health literacy is the cognitive and social skills about individuals' ability to access, understand and use information and their desires in order to protect and improve well-being in health. Providing appropriate health education for age groups is very important for the development of health literacy in children. School-based health education is necessary for health promotion in the 21st century. Studies show that children's health literacy levels are low. There are very few scales that measure health literacy in children. Although there are no school health nursing practices in Northern Cyprus, there are no training programs to develop positive health behaviors. With this study we have planned, it is aimed to implement a training program within the scope of the "School Health Nursing Program" in primary schools selected as a pilot in Northern Cyprus and to form the foundations of School health nursing in our country in line with its results. In addition, measurement tools specific to age groups are needed to measure the level of health literacy, especially in school-age children. Therefore, another purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of this program on children by implementing an education program within the scope of the "School Health Nursing Program", which will be a first in our country, and to develop the "Child Health Literacy Scale" and to make it a significant contribution to science with this scale.

Health Management Model Construction and Effect Evaluation of Hypertension Patients Based on Disease-related Health Literacy

Start date: May 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province was chosen as the research site, and a general hospital was randomly selected. The "Chinese version of hypertension health literacy scale" of the tutor of this research group was used to evaluate the health literacy level of inpatients with hypertension in the Department of Cardiology, and the patients with critical and lack of health literacy were selected as the research objects. In the control group, routine health management was carried out. On the basis of the control group, the intervention group used health education tools combined with health literacy intervention to implement interactive health management for 12 months. The results of the intervention measures were compared to evaluate the effects of the intervention measures on improving the health literacy level, Hypertension Self-care ability, quality of life and reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure, body mass index, waist circumference, physiological and biochemical indicators of the patients, so as to provide theoretical basis and practical reference for the further development of prevention and treatment strategies of hypertension patients.
