These technologies have the potential to be applied in disease pre-warning, decision-making support, health education, and healthcare maintenance. They are expected to address the challenges in managing thrombosis, improve access to high-quality medical resources in various regions, and enhance the development of a network for thrombosis rescue and treatment prevention. The objective of this study is to observe the long-term effect of mobile venous thromboembolism application (mVTEA) based patient-centered management of venous thromboembolism (VTE) on thromboprophylaxis, and establish a foundation of evidence for managing patients with high-risk VTE.

The Effect of Health Education and Yoga on Menopause Symptoms and Quality of Life According to Pender's Model

Intelligent Remote Intervention for High-risk Breast Cancer Populations

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the effects of modern remote health intervention regime with traditional in-person intervention strategies for high-risk breast cancer groups that with BI-RADS 3 or higher nodules. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Can the remote health intervention be more effective in slowing down the progression of breast nodules than the traditional in-person intervention? - Can the remote health intervention be more effective in minimizing the deterioration of the disease and reducing the risk of death in patients than the traditional in-person intervention? - Can the knowledge, belief and behavioral change of breast nodule population improve after receiving remote health intervention compared with traditional health management model? Participants will be divided into 2 groups, the Experimental group and the Control group. Participants in the Experimental group will be offered with modern remote interventions for 2 years, as describe below: - Teleconsultations: This involves using video calls, or phone calls once a month to connect patients for consultations, follow-ups, and discussions about conditions and symptom management. - Remote Monitoring and Wearable Devices: Wearable devices and remote monitoring tools like Infrared Breast Temperature Detector and Dynamic blood pressure detector will be used once a week to track patients' vital signs and symptoms remotely. - Mobile Applications: Specialized mobile apps will be used to provide a platform for patients to access educational materials, track their progress, manage management schedules, record symptoms, and connect with support groups or online communities. - Educational Platforms and Remote Health Education: Online platforms and resources provide educational materials about breast cancer, treatment options, potential side effects, lifestyle adjustments, and overall wellness. These resources empower patients by providing comprehensive information. Participants in the Control group will be offered with traditional strategies provided in the 'Breast Cancer Screening Guideline for Chinese Women': Ultrasound follow-up review is recommended no less than 3 to 6 months later. If there is no change at 2-year follow-up, it can be downgraded to BI-RADS 2; if there is suspicious change in the lesion during follow-up, biopsy should be considered to clarify the nature of the pathology.

Readiness for Basic Life Support in Schools

This research is a response to problems with Cardiovascular Disease in Colombia, where circulatory system diseases are the first cause of mortality in the adult population, making them a critical issue for the country. It is known that around 70% of cardiac arrests occur outside health institutions, generally at home or on public roads. To reduce these high mortality rates, international recommendations were issued to establish strategies to train the general population in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, especially school-age children. This constitutes a key stage for initiating learning. This condition significantly favors learning and preserving the acquired knowledge for the rest of their life. Based on the reasons above, this pilot project seeks to be the first approach at the national level to train second-grade elementary school children in Basic Life Support. This training will describing the step by step experiences of the participants, focusing on: project viability related to recruitment and follow-up, acceptability, the experience of participation from the educational community, and the effects of implementing the intervention on the knowledge and skills in the child population. A virtual protocol will be implemented (adapted to the current situation generated by the Coronavirus pandemic), and will be developed through didactic methodologies in three 60-minute educational sessions, during regular class hours.

The Future of Viral Communications: Video-Based Health Promotion Strategies for COVID-19 Vaccinations

The investigators aim to study whether education, in the form of three two-minute educational videos about COVID-19 vaccine development and dissemination, reduces vaccine hesitancy and increases intent to vaccinate. The investigators intend to use insights from this research study to develop a framework for video-based 'education prescriptions' that reduce vaccine hesitancy and increase intent to vaccinate across a number of infectious diseases. This may have wide-ranging impact: inform practice for health promotions and public health, as well as support infectious disease related work done by healthcare professionals (e.g. those working in travel medicine, where vaccination rates are also low).

The Effect of Education Based on Roy Adaptation Model for Infertile Individuals on Adaptation and Coping With Stress

Psychosocial counseling applied together with infertility treatment programs makes infertile women more resistant to stress, increases the effectiveness of infertility treatments and encourages infertile patients to continue treatment by improving their mental health. It appears that learning adaptation strategies in infertile couples is concurrent with health promotion. In addition to medical treatments, it is aimed to add training to be given in accordance with the Roy Adaptation model, to adapt to the process and infertility, and to control stress in infertile individuals in the management of the process. The study was planned to examine the effect of education based on the roy adaptation model for infertile individuals on adaptation and coping with stress.

Increasing HPV Vaccination Rates Via Educational Interventions in Schools Located Within Cedars-Sinai Catchment Areas

Infections with human papillomavirus (HPV) can cause cancer of the cervix, vagina, anus, throat, mouth, and penis. Prevention of these HPV-related cancers could be achieved by immunization with the nonavalent (HPV6,11,16,18,31,33,45,52,58) vaccine currently commercially available. However, in the U.S. approximately only 30% of females and 20% of males in the recommended age group receive the complete, three-dose HPV vaccine. Furthermore, data from the Los Angeles county suggest that HPV vaccination rates among these groups are lower than the national average. Significant barriers clearly remain including knowledge of the vaccine, transportation, number of doses and concern of side effects. Several programs worldwide have shown that schools remain an important venue for education as well as vaccination. In the US, vaccination within schools remains difficult because of many barriers including lack of nursing, insurance reimbursement, and liability. However, the school remains an important access to educational formats. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of educational sessions on the HPV vaccine among parents with children of vaccination age as a strategy to increase HPV vaccine uptake, by comparing HPV vaccination rates before and after the intervention. It is hypothesized HPV vaccine uptake will improve through the receipt of educational sessions to the parents of middle school children about the importance of the anti-cancer vaccine, the HPV vaccine. Three schools within Cedars-Sinai catchment area with whom Cedars-Sinai already has a Memorandum of Understanding in place: Berendo, Drew, and Carver Middle Schools in Los Angeles (SPA 4, SPA 6) will be recruited to the study. HPV vaccination rates will be compared before and after the intervention at the end of the observation period (12 months).
