NCT ID: NCT06366139 Completed - Clinical trials for Trigeminal Neuralgia

Trigeminal Ganglion RFT vs Maxillary/Mandibular PRF in the Treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia

Start date: January 11, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Trigeminal ganglion (TG) radiofrequency thermocoagulation (RFT) and ultrasound (US)-guided maxillary or mandibular (max/mand) pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) are two interventional procedures for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia (TN). The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of these two procedures. For this evaluation, the numeric rating scale (NRS) was used to assess pain relief and the Medication Quantification Scale III (MQS III) was used to assess the effectiveness of the interventions on medication consumption. The rates of adverse events related to the interventions were also compared.

NCT ID: NCT06342232 Completed - Migraine Headaches Clinical Trials

The Efficacy of Neurofeedback Mindfulness in Migraine Management

Start date: September 9, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This longitudinal randomized controlled trial explored how long-term practice of neurofeedback mindfulness would be helpful for migraine management when compare dot a similar controlled intervention. All the participants went through assigned 10 minutes practices on a daily basis for 8 weeks. Behavioural reports and migraine characteristics were compared before and after the intervention.

NCT ID: NCT06295003 Completed - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Headache Evaluations in the Pediatric Emergency Department

Start date: April 30, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Background: To evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on evaluations in the pediatric emergency department (ED) because of headache as main symptom. Methods: Number and clinical features of patients evaluated in the pediatric ED of a single site in Milan,Italy, were collected between January 2017 and January 2022. The impact of COVID-19 on evaluation rates was quantified by using the incidence rate ratio (IRR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) between the pandemic (March 2020 to January 2022) and the prepandemic period (January 2017 to February 2020).

NCT ID: NCT06264102 Completed - Back Pain Clinical Trials

Influence of Dalcroze Eurhythmics on Pains in Older Women

Start date: January 11, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this study, we attempted to answer the question of whether participation in a 12-week rhythmic exercise program using the Dalcroze method affects the level of intensity of pain experienced by women over the age of 65. The level of pain was determined on a numerical scale from 1 to 10 and involved headaches, back pain and leg pain.

NCT ID: NCT06180070 Completed - Migraine Clinical Trials

Bioequivalence Study to Compare Ibuprofen/ Paracetamol Tablets (200mg Ibuprofen/ 500mg Paracetamol) Versus Nuromol® Tablets (200mg Ibuprofen/ 500mg Paracetamol)

Start date: August 29, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Randomized, two-way, two-period, single oral dose, open-label, crossover, bioequivalence study to compare Ibuprofen/ Paracetamol tablets (200mg Ibuprofen/ 500mg Paracetamol) versus Nuromol® tablets (200mg Ibuprofen/ 500mg Paracetamol) in healthy subjects under fasting condition.

NCT ID: NCT06136052 Completed - Headache Clinical Trials

Kinesiophobia in Children With Headaches

Start date: April 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Introduction: Kinesiophobia is a common symptom associated with high levels of disability and has also been observed in patients with headache. However, the relationship between kinesiophobia and clinical factors in this population is unknown. Objective: We aimed to investigate the relationship between kinesiophobia and fear of falling, quality of life, and physical activity in children with headache. Methods: We included 127 children aged 6-18 years with headache complaints in our study. The Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale (TKS) was used to assess kinesiophobia, the International Falls Efficacy Scale (IFSES) was used to assess fear of falling, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ)- short form was used to measure physical activity, and the Quality of Life Scale for Children (QOLS) was used to assess quality of life. A visual analog scale (VAS) was used to assess pain intensity.

NCT ID: NCT06127186 Completed - Clinical trials for Upper Respiratory Tract Infections

Phenotype of Headache and Facial Pain in Upper Respiratory Tract Infections

Start date: November 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this longitudinal study is to assess headache and facial pain features in patients with upper respiratory tract infections (URTI). The main question it aims to answer are: 1. What is the phenotype of headache / facial pain in URTIs 2. Does the above mentioned phenotype is associated with: 1. aetiologic factor (virus), 2. type of URTI 3. headache/facial pain experienced by patients in the past. Participants will: - answer standardized questions, - undergo physical examination, - have a swab test performend for antigens of common viruses causing URTI.

NCT ID: NCT06121037 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulsed Radiofrequency

Greater Occipital Nerve Pulsed Radiofrequency for the Treatment of Combined Migraine and Cervicogenic Headache (New Approach)

Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Combined migraine and cervicogenic headache present significant challenges in clinical management due to their complex and overlapping pathophysiologies. Both conditions involve the trigeminocervical complex, suggesting a potential shared anatomical and neurobiological basis

NCT ID: NCT06118190 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Migraine, Headache

Mesotherapy in the Treatment of Chronic Migraine

Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Mesotherapy is a type of injection frequently used in clinics. It is a treatment procedure that involves the injection of some drugs under the skin or into the skin. Mesotherapy is used in musculoskeletal system diseases, but it is reported that the effects of its use in migraine are uncertain.

NCT ID: NCT06113263 Completed - Clinical trials for Cervical Radiculopathy

Anterior and Posterior Decompression Surgery in Individuals With Cervical Radiculopathy and Headache

Start date: January 1, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This is a prospective observational register-based cohort study with 2 years follow-up with data from the national Swedish Spine Register (Swespine). The aim is to study the differences between anterior and posterior decompression surgery on neck-related disability, headache, and neck- and arm pain in individuals with cervical radiculopathy and headache. Secondary, to study predictive factors for an improvement in neck-related disability, headache and neck- and arm pain after decompression srurgery. All individuals underwent either anterior or posterior decompression surgery and were operated between 2014-2021. Patient-reported data was collected preoperatively (baseline), and at 1- and 2-year follow-ups and surgeon-reported data regarding the operation were collected directly after the operation. Primary outcome is self-reported neck-related disability measured with Neck Disability Index and secondary outcomes are headache, measured with an item about headache of Neck Disability Index, and neck- and arm pain, measured with a 0 to 10-point numeric rating scale.
