NCT ID: NCT05868460 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

Laser Therapy on TMJ Disorders After Head and Neck Cancer.

Start date: May 21, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is a term describing musculoskeletal conditions of the face, jaw and temporal regions. TMD is frequently associated with pain and/or dysfunction such as impaired jaw function, pain in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), muscles and/or related structures, and associated headaches. NCT ID: NCT05859828 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

The GOAL27-6 Study

Start date: April 21, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main purpose and goal of this study is to find out if a particular course of radiotherapy for non-curable cancers, together with palliative care support, can help improve patients' quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT05853692 Recruiting - Oral Mucositis Clinical Trials

Prevention of Oral Mucositis in Head and Neck Cancer.

OMHNC-1
Start date: October 10, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Oral Mucositis (OM) consists in the painful inflammation and ulceration of the mucous membranes lining the digestive tract, lasting between 7 and 98 days; and starts as an acute inflammation of oral mucosa, tongue, and pharynx after RT exposure. Gel X spray is a product based on zinc gluconate. It could be helpful to achieve the prevention of Oral Mucositis and, in case of OM manifestation, the reduction of oral pain symptoms and to accelerate the healing process of oral mucositis ulcerations. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of the treatment with Gel X to reduce the incidence of oral mucositis, in comparison with Sodium Bicarbonate.

NCT ID: NCT05850663 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

Quality of Life Assessment of Radiotherapy in Recurrent Head and Neck Cancer

Start date: August 30, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to examine the uses of a mobile health-based assessment and symptom monitoring platform.

NCT ID: NCT05838729 Recruiting - Head Neck Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of RiMO-301 and Radiotherapy With PD-1 Inhibitor for the Treatment of Head-Neck Cancer

Start date: April 3, 2023
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective, open-label, single arm, non-randomized study of RiMO-301 with hypofractionated radiation and a PD-1 Inhibitor in patients with unresectable, recurrent or metastatic head-neck cancer.

NCT ID: NCT05837598 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Adapting the Tumor Board Model for Mental Illness and Cancer

Start date: May 31, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study examines the feasibility and acceptability of a virtual tumor board for cancer and mental illness for patients with serious mental illness and a new cancer diagnosis. The study also examines the impact on patient care, psychiatric symptoms, and clinician self-efficacy in managing this population.

NCT ID: NCT05837221 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

Microbiome in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Start date: December 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aims to determine whether dysbiosis actively contributes to HNSCC and if so, the underlying molecular mechanisms.

NCT ID: NCT05831917 Recruiting - HNSCC Clinical Trials

MRI - Guided Adaptive RadioTHerapy for Dysphagia in Head and Neck Cancer

Start date: January 17, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Recently developed hybrid machines (MRidian®-CE approval since 2016), consisting of a linear accelerator and an integrated low-field MRI, could allow better visualization of tumor and organs at risk during patient positioning and daily treatment finally repetitive adaptation of target volumes according to changes in patient weight and tumor anatomy during the radiotherapy course. These procedures would facilitate a high-precision treatment and help reduce dose exposure of critical structures.

NCT ID: NCT05830240 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

A Clinical Study on Oncolytic Virus Injection (R130 OV) for the Treatment of Relapsed/Refractory Head and Neck Cancer

Start date: March 27, 2023

NCT ID: NCT05820711 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

Study Transplanting Bone Marrow Cells Into Salivary Glands to Treat Dry Mouth Caused by Radiation Therapy

Start date: July 17, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical research study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of injecting certain cells that you produce in your bone marrow called mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into your salivary glands. Participants will have head and neck cancer that was treated with radiation therapy, and in this study will: - Undergo a collection of bone marrow using a needle; - Donate saliva; - Undergo a salivary gland ultrasound; and, - Complete questionnaires that ask about dry mouth Participants can expect to be in this study for up to 30 months.
