NCT ID: NCT04311827 Completed - Clinical trials for Rib Fracture Multiple

Serratus Anterior Plane Block for Improving Pain and Respiratory Function in Patients With Multiple Rib Fractures

Start date: March 3, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an observational study which will evaluate the efficacy of the serratus anterior plane block for treating pain and respiratory capacity in patients with multiple rib fractures. When resources are available for a SAPB to be performed, patients will receive this block in addition to traditional pain medications, while at other times, patients will receive traditional pain medications only.

NCT ID: NCT04309539 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Proximal Femur Fracture

Which Analgesia is Better for Proximal Femoral Fractures?

Start date: September 21, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This patient population is typically elderly and frail. They are at risk of adverse effects secondary to inadequate pain management such as prolonged admissions and poor functional outcomes. Regional analgesia is preferred due to their opioid-sparing effects and reduction in related adverse effects but The analgesia from these blocks is only moderate and literature suggests that the obturator nerve (ON) is not covered.

NCT ID: NCT04307342 Recruiting - Humerus Fracture Clinical Trials

Posterior Minimally Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis (MIPO) for Humerus Diaphyseal Fractures

MIPOH
Start date: July 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The primary objective is to evaluate the clinical, functional and radiological results in patients treated with posterior MIPO for Humerus Diaphyseal Fractures With Extra-articular Distal Humeral Anatomical Plate.

NCT ID: NCT04306536 Recruiting - Femur Fracture Clinical Trials

Nutritional Support in Femur Fracture Rehabilitation

Start date: June 19, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized, observer-blinded trial tested the hypothesis that nutritional supplementation with muscle-target nutritional supplementation would increase the efficacy of a physical rehabilitation program in old adults with femur fracture treated with surgery.

NCT ID: NCT04306198 Not yet recruiting - Hip Fractures Clinical Trials

Helical Blade vs Lag Screw Fixation for Cephalomedullary Nailing of Low Energy Intertrochanteric Hip Fractures

Start date: March 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study will be to compare the failure and complications rates of and orthopedic implant (Cephalomedullary Nail) fixed with two different options actually available: lag screw or helical blade. The study population will be patient who have been diagnosed with an intertrochanteric hip fracture. Hypothesis: Our hypothesis is that the helical blade will have a higher failure rate compared to the lag screw

NCT ID: NCT04303663 Withdrawn - Ankle Fractures Clinical Trials

Fibular Nail vs Plate in Ankle Fractures

Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Randomised Controlled Trial to Compare the Efficacy of Fibular Nail Fixation vs Plate Fixation in Ankle Fracture Management

NCT ID: NCT04303442 Completed - Bleeding Clinical Trials

Corona Mortis in Patients Undergoing TEP for Inguinal Hernia

Start date: January 2, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aim to describe the presence, type and size of Corona mortis (CMOR) in patients undergoing total extraperitoneal (TEP) inguinal hernia repair procedures. This study also aim to describe the preperitoneal vascular anatomy of inguinal area and provide in vivo knowledge about CMOR.

NCT ID: NCT04301037 Completed - Clinical trials for Medial Malleolus Fracture

Tension Band Wiring Versus Cannulated Screws in Fixation of Medial Malleolus in Ankle Fracture

Start date: April 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective randomized study conducted on 30 patients with an age spanning between 20 and 55 years. Half of the sample was treated by tension band wiring for closed medial malleolar fractures, and the other half by two cannulated screws. The patients were assessed at (6w-3months and 6months) for clinical and radiological union and evaluated functionally (12 months) using modified Olerund and Molander scoring system.

NCT ID: NCT04299022 Recruiting - Fractures, Bone Clinical Trials

Safety, Efficacy, & Use of ViviGen Cellular Bone Matrix Allograft in Orthopaedic Fracture Care

Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Prospective registry and retrospective data collection study to assess the efficacy and safety of Vivigen Cellular Bone Matrix (Vivigen) in orthopaedic trauma patients who require bone grafting in the acute, delayed, non-union fracture as well as use in fusion procedure settings.

NCT ID: NCT04298385 Not yet recruiting - Trauma Clinical Trials

Traction Orthosis for Oblique Proximal Phalangeal Fractures

Start date: March 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The term Ligamentotaxis is used to define the method of distal traction to realign joint surfaces and reduce articular fragments after complex fractures. Traction and mobilization can be combined to help deliver the best outcome. This study will present a dynamic traction orthosis design with the aim that it is easy-to-make, non-invasive, low-profile and allow for ease in performing active and passive exercises. The clinical effectiveness of this method will be examined by analyzing treatment outcomes in a case series cohort.
