A post market, non-randomized, multi-center, open-label,clinical study using survivorship to study the safety and efficacy of the Integra® TITAN™ Total Shoulder System 1.0 (TAS) when used for total shoulder arthroplasty.
The overall goal of the project is to reduce the incidence of post hip fracture morbidity and mortality by conducting geriatric fellow periodic home visits.The assessment will be multidisciplinary and will include assessments of functional status, depression, environmental risks and medical conditions. This group will be compared against a group followed by the usual standard of care post hip fracture.
The purpose of this study is to determine the bone to skin depth for groups of lean, obese and morbidly obese patients. This information will be potentially helpful with implant design for obese and lean patients.
The purpose of this study is to find out the best treatment for subcapital and shaft fractures of the 5. metacarpal. It is a prospective randomized multicenter study. Comparing only fractures dislocated more than 30 degrees. One group will be operated with intramedullary pins and one group will be treated conservatively with reduction and then Plaster of Paris for 3 weeks. All patients will be followed up after 3, 6 and 12 months.
We intend to include10 patients in this study and trial. Prior to treatment they will sign an informed consent form, stating that they are acquainted with the surgical procedure and study, and that they consent to participate in the study. Five patients will undergo regular operation with Universal tibial reamed nail (AO-Synthes) using the fluoroscopy device: OEC 9800 (GENERAL ELECTRIC). five patients will undergo the same operation using the new navigation system:"The Guiding star" method. The allocation will be random.
The purpose of the study is to compare the effect of different lower limb amputation surgical procedures on leg bone integrity and rehabilitation outcome.
