Intraoperative Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging of Cerebral Blood Flow

Start date: April 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the proposed study is to investigate the usefulness of laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) compared to indocyanine green angiography (ICGA). We will collect data from a wide variety of neurovascular surgical procedures to determine when the technology is the most clinically useful. The intraoperative LSCI system provides high resolution images of blood flow in real-time without tissue contact and without the need for an exogenous contrast agent. Further study is needed to gain a better understanding of the use of the technique during surgery, but initial results suggest that the ability to identify blood flow changes with immediate feedback to the surgeon could be a significant advantage during many procedures.

NCT ID: NCT05273645 Not yet recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

PrOgnosis Following Esophageal fisTula formaTion in Pts Undergoing cathetER Ablation for AF Study

POTTER
Start date: March 31, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Pulmonary vein isolation emerged as an effective and safe strategy to treat atrial fibrillation patients. Atrio-oesophageal fistula (AOF) represents a rare but devastating complication of AF ablation procedure. This complication (0.016-0.07%) requires an international effort to allow for better understanding of the factors contributing to its occurrence and the best management strategies. A worldwide, retrospective, multicenter registry focusing on the incidence, diagnosis and management of this complication.

NCT ID: NCT05088083 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Arteriovenous Fistula

Paclitaxel-Coated Balloon for the Treatment of AVF

AVF
Start date: December 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Zylox Drug Coated Balloon (DCB) for treatment of subjects presenting with de novo or non-stented restenotic obstructive lesion of native arteriovenous dialysis fistulae (AVF) in the upper extremity in China.

NCT ID: NCT04900012 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Surgery--Complications

Prospective Snapshot Audit of Distal Pancreatectomy in Spain

Spadispan
Start date: July 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Distal pancreatectomy is the surgical technique performed to treat many pancreatic diseases located in neck and tail of the pancreas. Laparoscopic approach is the gold standard but in many centres the percentage of laparoscopic approach is still low. This technique has low mortality but 30% morbidity mostly related to pancreatic fistula. Some new devices (linear stapler, energy devices and patches) seem to decrease pancreatic fistula but there is not evidence based medicine that confirm the results published usually in unicentric studies.

NCT ID: NCT04774588 Not yet recruiting - Fistula Clinical Trials

HoloStream Study - Video Capture Device Usage

Holo-Stream
Start date: March 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Objectives: Primary - Evaluate the primary operator usability of VSI streaming software for realtime streaming of images from video capture devices to a head mounted display (Hololens 2) during Interventional Radiology procedures Secondary - Evaluate Radiographer usability of VSI streaming software. - Develop suggestions for future research studies to assess the safety and efficacy of the VSI streamer software during other Interventional radiology procedures - Evaluate the impact of VSI streaming software on room setup time, procedural time and fluoroscopy time - Assess the feasability of remote collaboration by real time image transmission between remote devices through 3D telemedicine

NCT ID: NCT04610307 Not yet recruiting - Pain, Postoperative Clinical Trials

EFFECT OF BUFFERED LOCAL ANESTHESIA ON PAIN IN ARETERIOVENOUS FISTULA

Start date: November 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Pain and satisfaction score will be assessed at the end of surgery and compared in either of two groups

NCT ID: NCT04582461 Not yet recruiting - Pancreatic Fistula Clinical Trials

Role of Preoperative Multislice Computed Tomography in Whipple's Operation.

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Preoperative assessment of visceral fat volume(VFV),total fat volume(TFV),pancreas/spleen density ratio and pancreatic duct diameter by multislice computed tomography abdomen to predict the risk of pancreatic fistula after Whipple's operation.

NCT ID: NCT04541238 Not yet recruiting - Anal Fistula Clinical Trials

Imaging Template for Reporting Anal Fistula

ITRAF
Start date: September 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the most used diagnostic tool for pre-operative assessment of anal fistula. However, there is lack of standardization in reporting this investigation. Moreover, reports may miss a number of key information for surgical planning. The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness, reproducibility, and acceptability of a new template for reporting anal fistula, which may favor standardization in clinical practice and inform surgical decision making.

NCT ID: NCT04507295 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

Cerebral Blood Flow in Neonates During Thoracoscopic Surgeries

Start date: August 8, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

the aim of this study is to compare the effect of different modes of mechanical ventilation by using volume-controlled ventilation and pressure-controlled ventilation on cerebral blood flow monitored by cerebral oximetry during thoracoscopic surgeries in neonates.
