Clinical Trial Description

Hypothesis: AZVUDINE has a therapeutic potential and safety profile for the treatment of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. Goals: Main goal: A. Consolidate scientific and technological cooperation between researchers from Brazil, China, and Russia (member countries of the BRICS), aiming to achieve world-class technical and scientific results on the theme of COVID-19. B. To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of AZVUDINE tablets for the treatment of COVID-19, during the initial stage and mild symptoms, compared to conventional treatment [period: 14 days]. Specific objective: To evaluate the clinical evolution of participants infected by SARS-CoV-2 treated with AZVUDINE (FNC) compared to placebo in the mild stage. Statistical planning: Statistical description: all statistical tests are performed by bilateral testing. A significance level of 5% will be adopted. Baseline analysis: including subject distribution, data demographics, and baseline analysis. ;
