There are about 10560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Taiwan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This research will investigate the effect of oral probiotic supplements on renal function, uremic toxins inflammatory response, nutrition status, gastrointestinal symptoms, and QoL with Chronic kidney disease.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of litifilimab in participants with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The secondary objectives of this study are to evaluate the long-term effect of litifilimab on disease activity in participants with SLE, to evaluate the long-term effect of litifilimab in participants with SLE in maintaining low disease activity, to evaluate the effect of litifilimab in participants with active SLE in preventing irreversible organ damage, to assess long-term use of oral corticosteroid (OCS) with participants receiving litifilimab treatment, to assess the impact of litifilimab on participant-reported Health-Related Quality-of-Life Questionnaire (HRQoL), symptoms, and impacts of SLE, to evaluate long-term effect of litifilimab on laboratory parameters, and to evaluate immunogenicity of litifilimab.
The researchers designed a software based on a head-mounted displays for virtual reality (HMD-VR) to evaluate the reaction time to stimuli presented at right or left visual field. The study will recruit 100 stroke patients with hemisphere lesions (50 patients for right and left each) and 100 age-matched healthy controls. The participants will conduct a simple reaction time task in VR, with stimuli designated in the left or right hemi-field. The stroke patients will also received traditional tests for hemi-neglect. Test-retest reliability of the assessment will be conducted in a subset of the control group. The stroke patients will be followed in 3-4 weeks.
The rationale of the ROSY-D study is to continue to provide study treatment for patients who have participated in a parent study with Durvalumab and who are continuing to derive clinical benefit from treatment at the end of such studies, as judged by the Investigator.
It is challenging for healthcare team to manage emergency patient effectively. Most of these critical patients have medical conditions and need complex medical managements. Research findings have shown that poor healthcare teamwork would result in poor communication, missing information, and insufficient situation monitoring and thus compromise patient safety. Simulation has been proved as an effective method to develop teamwork competency. However, comparing to traditional training model, simulation requires more resources such as funding, spaces, time, administration staffs, schedule, facilitators, and equipment. It would not be easy to delivery in various professional departments. Game-based learning was a known effective and learner-centered learning model which required less resources. Researchers have shown that game-based learning has higher acceptance for the learners and can improve learners' knowledge, attitude, motivation, and performance. Therefore, the aim of this study was to explore the learning effectiveness of resuscitation teamwork training of board game-based learning, simulation-based learning and lecture-based learning in PGY doctors and nurses.
Investigate the methyl donors requirement of NAFLD patients to correct the malnutrition, lipid-toxicity, microbiota dysfunction, and metabolomics biomarkers.
To evaluate benefits of primary prevention of major coronary heart disease for asymptomatic coronary artery disease in type 2 diabetes mellitus based on the coronary artery calcium score Our proposal 1. Based on CAC score, primary early prevention could reduce incidence of major coronary heart disease (CHD) including cardiac mortality, acute myocardial infarction, coronary revascularization 2. based on CAC score, primary early prevention could reduce all cause mortality, cardiac mortality, cardiovascular disease, heart failure, ischemic stroke, heart failure associated hospitalization and chronic kidney disease and related clinical cost effect
Fatigue is a common feature in patients with rheumatic conditions. Fatigue can lead to a decline in physical function, self-confidence, cognitive status, and work performance and significantly impact the quality of life. While pain and inflammation of arthritis can be well controlled nowadays attributed to the advances in anti-rheumatic medications, fatigue remains a challenge. Even with proper therapies for arthritis, the prevalence of severe fatigue is more than 30%, which is a significant burden to both physicians and patients. However, there is no regimen to alleviate fatigue among patients with inflammatory arthritis. Finding a way to combat fatigue will significantly help improve patients' physical and mental state and family society. To investigate the efficacy of Jing Si Herbal Tea Liquid Packets on fatigue in patients with inflammatory arthritis, the investigators propose a two-year research project to recruit approximately 150 patients with fatigue and inflammatory arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis. This project is designed as a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. The recruited patients will be randomized to receive Jing Si Herbal Tea Liquid Packets or a matching placebo in combination with the background regular anti-rheumatic therapy. The severity of fatigue will be obtained by questionnaire. Clinical parameters, including demographic data and disease activities, will be collected during each visit.
The study is aimed to investigate the different rates of pyloric/ pseudopyloric metaplasia or spasmolytic polypeptide-expressing metaplasia (SPEM) of corpus between autoimmune gastritis and H. pylori-infected non-ulcer dyspepsia.
This phase II study, 24-week, double-blind, study evaluated Eefooton's safety and efficacy for patients with CKD stage 3 to 4 Not on dialysis.
