There are about 10560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Taiwan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of epidural patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) on postoperative pain relief after lumbar spine surgeries. The eligible patients received two types of postoperative pain management: PCA and standard pain treatment. Comparisons between the two groups were made in terms of postoperative pain level.
Introduction: This study was to compare the differences in the incidence, grade, and time of surgery-related pressure injuries between the two interventions; and describe the locations of surgery-related pressure injuries between the two interventions. Methods: This study adopted a true experimental research design with a convenience sampling method from the operating rooms of a teaching hospital in a northern region. The experimental group was randomly assigned by block to receive intervention A (full bed silicone mattress plus other measures), and the control group received intervention B (full bed silicone mattress plus usual care). Measurements include basic personal attributes, risk factors, grade, time, and location of occurrence related to surgery-related pressure injuries.
This study aims to explore the use of peanut balls during the second stage of labor. It compares three different positions: traditional lithotomy position, lateral position, and lateral position with peanut ball in terms of women's perceived pushing effort experiences, fatigue, and birth outcomes.
This was a multicenter randomized controlled study of 98 severe Traumatic Brain Injury patients with tracheostomy. Patients enrolled were divided randomly into the observation group with Intermittent Oro-esophageal Tube Feeding (n=50) or the control group with Nasogastric tube feeding (n=48) for enteral nutrition support, respectively. Nutritional status, complications, decannulation of tracheostomy tubes and level of consciousness on day 1 and day 28 were recorded and compared.
Nasogastric tube feeding (NGT) has been widely used in cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) patients with dysphagia but has a significant risk of complications. Intermittent Oro-esophageal Tube Feeding (IOE) is an established enteral nutrition approach that can be used with comprehensive rehabilitation therapy. This study aims to explore the clinical effect of IOE vs. NGT on CSVD Patients with Dysphagia. Compared to NGT, IOE, as an enteral nutrition support mode, in CSVD Patients with Dysphagia who received comprehensive rehabilitation therapy, showed advantages in improvement in dysphagia, nutritional status, ADL, QOL, pneumonia, and adverse events, which should be considered as the preferred approach.
This was a randomized controlled study. The infants enrolled were randomly divided into the IOE group (with Intermittent Oro-Esophageal Tube Feeding, n=25) and the PNG group (with Nasogastric Tube Feeding, n=23), all receiving systemic therapy. Before and after 4-week treatment, pulmonary infection, swallowing function, nutritional status and body weight between the two group were compared.
This was a randomized controlled study including 80 infants with cerebral palsy and dysphagia. The Participants were evenly divided into the observation group (with intermittent oro-esophageal tube feeding, n=40) and the control group (with persistent nasogastric tube feeding , n=40). Nutritional status and physical development, condition of dysphagia, and pneumonia before and after 3-month treatment were compared.
These studies offer valuable insights into the potential development of KGR as a novel herbal-based preventive and therapeutic strategy against COVID-19.
The aim of this study is to investigate whether there are the additive effects when implementing both high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and probiotics simultaneously on improving cardiorespiratory endurance and metabolism in middle-aged women.
The purpose of this study is to learn about lorlatinib for the possible treatment of lung cancer which could not be controlled. This study is seeking participants who: - have lung cancer that could not be controlled. - have a type of gene called anaplastic lymphoma kinase. A gene is a part of your DNA that has instructions for making things your body needs to work. - have received at least 1 treatment before. All participants in this study had received lorlatinib. Lorlatinib is a tablet that is taken by mouth at home. They continued to take dacomitinib until their cancer was no longer responding. The study will look at the experiences of people receiving the study medicine. This will help to see if the study medicine is safe and effective.
