There are about 1039 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Slovenia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a retrospective observational study which follows on from CNA106030 (a study evaluating whether prospective genetic screening for HLA-B*5701 can reduce the incidence of hypersensitivity reactions to abacavir). This study aims to collect data on approximately 35 subjects who withdrew from CNA106030 when found to be HLA-B*5701 positive. HIV disease management and adverse event data in these subjects, where the risk/benefit ratio of treatment with abacavir may alter subsequent prescribing, will be collected
This single arm study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of MabThera maintenance therapy following a MabThera-containing induction regimen in first line or relapsed patients with follicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. All patients will receive MabThera 375mg/m2 body surface area, as an intravenous infusion, every 8 weeks. The anticipated time on study treatment is 1-2 years, and the target sample size is 500+ individuals.
This is an observational study with a drug called Nebido, a new testosterone replacement therapy, which is available for the treatment of male hypogonadism. The benefit and safety of Nebido have already been thoroughly evaluated through well controlled clinical trials. The main purpose of this observational study is to confirm the established safety profile of Nebido in daily clinical practice.
This is a randomized, open label, phase III study to evaluate the ability of rituximab maintenance therapy to prolong event-free survival in aggressive NHL. Patients will be screened after successful standard induction therapy (CR or Cru following standard R-CHOP-like therapy with 8 infusions of rituximab plus CHOP-like chemotherapy (4-8 cycles). Patients will be followed until an event occurs as defined in the protocol. To evaluate the clinical efficacy of rituximab maintenance therapy as compared to observation in patients with aggressive B-cell Non-Hodgkins lymphoma or follicular lymphoma grade 3b who have achieved a complete remission after appropriate first-line therapy, measured by event-free survival (EFS), 440 patients with DLCBL or follicular NHL grade 3 (220 per arm) will be recruited.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and effects of VX-702 in subjects with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis and who are taking the drug methotrexate.
The primary objective of this study is to assess whether a single dose of rhBMP-2/CPM administered at the fracture site via percutaneous injection, in combination with standard of care, accelerates fracture union and return to normal function in subjects who have a closed diaphyseal tibial fracture when compared to standard of care alone.
It is possible to measure skeletal muscle tissue oxygenation (StO2) using near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS). It is performed non invasively. We want to compare usually used invasive methods for assessing adequacy of flow to StO2 in critically ill. Aim is to faster and non invasively estimate adequacy of flow to make therapeutic algorithms efficient.
The infant car restraint devices are a critical part of infant safety during transportation. The crash tolerance and the critical safety features of each seat are well established. Infant transportation may be via a car seat or car bed. The effect of the sitting position on the airway is a concern in an infant with poor head control. Because of this concern, car seat tests during which oxygen saturation is measured, are performed on many low birth weight infants before discharge from the nursery. Indeed, a number of deaths have occurred in car seats probably related to airway obstruction. The relative effects of position on the ventilation need to be established. We propose to identify the relative changes in ventilation that are induced by position change during sleep. We will collect a broad array of high quality data that will identify these changes, and the most likely cause. Specifically, we will we screen 200 infants, with each infant assigned to the supine position, the car bed and the car seat. The order of these positions will be randomly assigned. Following data will be collected: 1. Relative changes in ventilation will be assessed by oxygen saturation measurement. 2. Respiratory movement will be measured in order to define the defect. 3. Once the data is collected, it will be sent for blind data analysis. 4. Once the data analysis is complete, the effect of position on ventilation will be established.
EUROTRANSFER Registry is a prospective, international, web-based European Registry on Patients with ST-Elevation MI Transferred for Mechanical Reperfusion (PCI) with a Special Focus on Upstream Use of Abciximab. This registry is designed to collect data on approximately 1800 patients during a 12 month enrollment period in up to 20 interventional cardiology centres with hospital transfer networks from all over Europe. Analysis of this registry should allow to monitor transfer timelines of patients arriving to the cath-lab from the regional hospital with or without upstream start of abciximab and scheduled for mechanical reperfusion (PCI) as well as to monitor regional differences across Europe in regard to the impact that time of various stages of the treatment chain may have on clinical outcomes.
This is a comparator study to assess the relative efficacy of the combination product fluticasone propionate/salmeterol 50/500 and tiotropium bromide on the rate of exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) over a two year study interval.
