There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to assess long-term safety data of GED-0301 for a period of up to 208 weeks in adult subjects (i.e., ≥ 18 years of age) who participated in the core Phase 3 GED-0301-CD-002 and GED-0301-CD-003 studies and adolescent subjects (i.e., 12 to 17 years of age) who participated in the core Phase 3 GED-0301-CD-003 study. Although all subjects will receive active treatment, this study is double-blinded for the entire 208 weeks for the purpose of preserving the blind of the subject's treatment allocation in the initial, core Phase 3 GED-0301 study. The GED-0301-CD-003 trial was not initiated; see detailed description.
NOAH is an investigator-initiated, prospective, parallel-group, double-blind, randomised, multi-centre trial. The objective of the trial is to demonstrate that oral anticoagulation using the NOAC edoxaban is superior to current therapy to pre-vent stroke, systemic embolism, or cardiovascular death in patients with AHRE and at least two stroke risk factors but without AF. The trial will be conducted in several European countries.
The purpose of this study is to assess the contraceptive efficacy of the etonogestrel + 17β-estradiol (ENG-E2) vaginal ring in women between 18 and 35 years of age based on the number of in-treatment pregnancies as expressed by the Pearl Index (PI). The study will also assess the safety and tolerability of ENG-E2 vaginal ring. The levonorgestrel-ethinyl estradiol (LNG-EE) 150/30 μg combined oral contraceptive (COC) will be used as the active comparator.
This is a Phase 2, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 12-week proof-of-concept study to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of UCB5857 in subjects with primary Sjögren's Syndrome (pSS). The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy on overall disease activity and safety of UCB5857 added to current treatment relative to placebo in subjects with pSS.
Endodrill is a new instrument for biopsy sampling in the GI-channel. The purposes of this study are as follows: - Compare the Endodrill instrument with conventional biopsy forceps in terms of ability to establish the correct diagnosis based on collected biopsies of tumors in the upper GI tract. - Based on the quality of the collected tissue samples we want to evaluate which instrument generates the most useful material for genetic studies of the tumor.
Myelofibrosis patients with high molecular risk mutations have an intrinsically aggressive disease with increased risk of leukemic transformation and reduced overall survival. As there are no therapies currently established in the subset of high molecular risk patients with early myelofibrosis, the study aimed to evaluate ruxolitinib in this patient population.
The purpose of study is to test the effects of an experimental medication GED-0301 (mongersen) in patients who have active Crohn's disease. The study will test GED-0301 compared to placebo for 52 weeks. The study treatment is blinded which means that patients and the study doctor will not know which treatment has been assigned. Patients in this study will be allowed treatment with stable doses of oral aminosalicylates, oral corticosteroids, immunosupressants and antibiotics for the treatment of Crohn's disease. After 12 weeks in the study until the end of the study, patients who do not have an improvement in their Crohns disease symptoms will have the option to enter a long term active treatment study. Participants who discontinued the study anytime or completed the study at Week 52 were then observed for an additional 4 weeks.
The clinical characteristics, initial presentation, management, and outcomes of patients hospitalized with new-onset (first diagnosis) heart failure (HF) or decompensation of chronic HF are poorly understood worldwide. REPORT-HF is a global, prospective, and observational HF disease registry designed to characterize patient trajectories longitudinally during and following an index hospitalization for acute HF.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate pharmacokinetics, safety, tolerability, antiviral activity, and impact on the clinical course of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) infection after multiple oral doses of JNJ-53718678 at different doses and/or dosing regimens in infants (greater than [>] 1 month to less than or equal to [<=] 24 months of age) who are hospitalized with RSV infection.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether treatment with atabecestat slows cognitive decline compared with placebo treatment, as measured by a composite cognitive measure, the Preclinical Alzheimer Cognitive Composite (PACC), in amyloid-positive participants who are asymptomatic at risk for developing Alzheimer's dementia.
