There are about 1560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Serbia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Physical activity has positive impacts upon pain, disease activity and functional status in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Additionally, it may decrease the augmented cardiovascular risk in this patient population. Despite these apparent benefits of physical activity in RA, very little is known about physical activity in patients on biologic therapy. It could be hypothesized that improved control of RA signs and symptoms, better physical function and inhibition of structural damage all make the ground for an increased physical activity in patients treated with biologic agents after inadequate response to conventional Disease Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs). Adalimumab is the biologic agent which demonstrated unsurpassed efficacy in improving physical function, as well as short- and long-term work productivity outcomes in patients with RA. Therefore, adalimumab is a good candidate biologic agent to evaluate the impact on physical activity in RA.
The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of the Medtronic CapSureFix Novus Model 5076 lead when patients are implanted with the Medtronic Advisa MRI pacemaker and undergo an MRI scan.
This study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of fibrin sealant (FS) Grifols in patients undergoing open surgical procedures where bleeding may be present on parenchymous tissue (e.g., solid abdominal organs such as the liver). The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that FS Grifols is not inferior to commercially-available oxidized cellulose pads (Surgicel®) in providing benefit in the time to hemostasis (i.e, the stoppage of bleeding). This study has a Preliminary Part (I) for study teams to become familiar with the application of FS Grifols and a Primary Part (II) to assess the safety and efficacy of FS Grifols. In both parts of the study, patients will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to either FS Grifols or Surgicel.
The purpose of the study is to document long-term response in real-life practice after injection cycles with BoNT-A in subjects suffering from idiopathic cervical dystonia (Long-term clinical and pharmaco-economic data).
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Medtronic Attain Performa Quadripolar Leads (Model 4298, 4398, and 4598) during and post the implant procedure. This study will also assess the interactions of the Attain Performa leads with the entire Medtronic CRT-D system.
This Phase IIa international multicenter, open-label, uncontrolled study will evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetics of rituximab (MabThera/Rituxan) in pediatric participants with severe granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) or microscopic polyangiitis (MPA). Participants will receive rituximab 375 milligrams per square meter (mg/m^2) intravenously (IV) on Days 1, 8, 15 and 22.
The study is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of two doses of pregabalin as add-on treatment in pediatric and adult subjects with Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (PGTC) seizures as compared to placebo. It is hypothesized that both doses of pregabalin will demonstrated superior efficacy when compared to placebo by reducing PGTC seizure frequency and that pregabalin will be safe and well tolerated.
This study aimed to assess the optimal duration of nilotinib 300 mg twice daily (BID) consolidation treatment in patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), in order that patients remained in treatment-free remission (≥MR4.0) without molecular relapse 12 months after starting the Treatment-Free Remission (TFR) phase.
Clinical study to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of macitentan in subjects with Eisenmenger Syndrome.
The primary objectives of the study are: - To evaluate the effects of three oral doses of MT-1303 compared to placebo given for a period of 24 weeks in subjects with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) on MRI parameters - To evaluate the safety and tolerability of three oral doses of MT-1303 compared to placebo given for a period of 24 weeks in subjects with RRMS.
