There are about 3285 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Pakistan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to compare the effects of High intensity circuit training, Intermittent Fasting, and their combination on PCOS morphology, Anthropometrics, clinical hyperandrogenism and body image concerns in females with PCOS. Participants will be divided into three groups who will receive High intensity circuit training, Intermittent fasting and their combination. The outcomes will be PCOS morphology, anthropometrics', clinical hyperandrogenism and body image concerns.
Calf pain is a common complaint among runners of all ages but is most frequent in masters athletes. The most common calf injury is a tear of the medial gastrocnemius muscle (Tennis Leg) but other structures including the lateral gastrocnemius, plantaris and soleus also may be the cause of muscular pain. There are multiple techniques for the management that involves loading the strained calf musculature through rest, taping techniques, and appropriate soft tissue massage techniques, modalities such as dry needling or western acupuncture can be popular amongst runners and may also be useful. Progressive loading is a principle of resistance training exercise program design that typically relies on increasing load to increase neuromuscular demand to facilitate further adaptations whereas Athletic performance is based on a number of skills that can be developed through a sports conditioning program. This particular program focuses on improving both muscular strength and power using a technique called post-activation potentiation (PAP), also commonly referred to as complex training.
Evidence reports that parents with schizophrenia are particularly vulnerable to parenting difficulties and also experience problems in sensitively interacting with their children. This may cause insecure attachment in infants of mothers with psychosis. Children of parents with schizophrenia have poor developmental and clinical outcomes. However, there is no published trial, to the best of our knowledge, for children of parents with schizophrenia. Learning through Play (LTP) is a potentially low cost intervention to improve maternal mental health and child outcomes by promoting health child development. The proposed study will integrate LTP with existing culturally appropriate Cognitive Behaviour Theray (CBT) for psychosis (CaCBT-p) and test its feasibility and acceptability for parents with schizophrenia.
Hemiplegia in infants and children is a type of Cerebral Palsy that results from damage to the part (hemisphere) of the brain that controls muscle movements. This damage may occur before, during or shortly after birth. The term hemiplegia means that the paralysis is on one vertical half of the body. The aim of this study will be the to know the effect of mCIMT with and without mirror therapy on upper limb function in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. A randomized control trial will be conducted at Sheikh Zayed Hospital, RYK through convenience sampling technique on 30 patients which will be allocated through simple random sampling through sealed opaque enveloped into group A and group B. Group A will be treated with mCIMT and Group B will be treated with mCIMT and mirror therapy. Outcome measure will be conducted through pain and disability questionnaire after 6 weeks. Data will be analyzed using SPSS software version 21. After assessing normality of data by Shapiro - wilk test, it will be decided either parametric or non-parametric test will be used within a group or between two groups. mCIMT with and without mirror therapy will be applied in patients with hemiplegic cerebral palsy to see the effect on upper limb function.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of non-invasive invasive vagal nerve stimulation on diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain in people with diabetes.
Language is the system someone uses to communicate with another person. This covers the origins and construction of words, their definitions, and the use of language in various contexts. In normally developing children, receptive language skills are typically much more advanced than expressive language skills. However, some studies found that toddlers and kids with ASD had a relatively greater impairment in receptive language skills than in expressive language skills. The study will evaluate the ABLLS-R (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills test) and Portage guidance and compare their effectiveness in developing the Receptive Language Skills in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (N=12). The study will follow the Randomized control trial study design and a purposive sampling technique will be used. Data will be collected from a special education centre BASES (Behaviour and special education services), Lahore. Children with autism spectrum disorder with mild to moderate severity level will be included in the study. The age range of the children will be from three years to seven years. Children with other neurological disorders or any comorbid conditions will be excluded from the study. The consent form will be filled out by parents of children who meet the inclusion criteria. The autism screening tool will apply by the speech and language pathologist. Half of the total number of children will receive therapeutic intervention under ABLLS-R protocol and other will receive Interventions under portage guide protocol. The data will be analysed by using SPSS 22 statistical software. The results of the study of both the groups will be compared and conclusion will be made on the basis of results. Receptive language skills are crucial for communication and social interaction. Research comparing these assessment tools can contribute to the development of more effective early intervention programs for children with ASD. By identifying the most appropriate assessment tool and intervention strategies, these programs can be better designed to support early language development and promote better long-term outcomes. By understanding the strengths and limitations of each assessment tool, professionals can create more individualized treatment plans for children with ASD
Cerebral palsy (CP) is primarily a neuromotor disorder that affects the development of movement, muscle tone and posture. It is one of the three most common lifelong developmental disabilities, the other two being autism and mental retardation causing considerable hardship to affected individuals and their families. CP is a common problem, the worldwide incidence being 2 to 2.5 per 1000 live births. Myofascial therapy is definable by "the facilitation of mechanical, neural and psycho physiological adaptive potential as interfaced by the myofascial system". The PNF contract-relax technique consists of stretching the target muscle, keeping it in position while the patient isometrically contracts it and relaxes in sequence, producing effects such as maintenance and gain in joint mobility, increased muscle strength, and better motor control whereas The modified Ashworth scale is the most universally accepted clinical tool used to measure the increase of muscle tone This study will be randomized clinical trial and will be conducted in Rasool medical centre Gujrat and City hospital Gujrat. This study will be completed within duration of 6 months after the approval of synopsis.Convenience sampling technique will be used to collect the data. A sample size of total 20 patientswill be taken in the study. 20participants will be equally divided into two group's myofascial stretch and contract-relax stretching techniques having 10participants in each group. Informed consent will be sought from them and they will be clearly explained about the purpose of study.Myofascial Stretching will be applied to Group A and Contract-Relax stretching will be applied to Group B. Results will be analyzed on SPSS.
The primary objective of this study is to determine the combined effects of Brunnstorm movement therapy and low level laser therapy on upper limb function in chronic stroke patient.
To determine the effects of plantar cutaneous sensory stimulation on foot tactile sensitivity, postural control, and spatiotemporal gait parameters in patients with diabetic neuropathy.
To determine the association of hand and forearm anthropometrics on grip strength and forehand smash quality of badminton players after six-weeks of elastic resistance training.
