There are about 5012 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Mexico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
In this current study the researchers aim to identify the total number of infections and deaths due to COVID-19 and distinguish which are the risk factors most related to COVID-19 infections and deaths in medical personnel in Mexico.
Some studies have shown beneficial results with probiotics on hepatic function of subjects with fatty liver, but significant variability has been noted among probiotic formulations. This study aims at providing a comprehensive characterization of the effect of a particular probiotic formula in hepatic function of said subjects.
Introduction. The thickening fibrotic of the skin in systemic sclerosis (SSc) could reduce endogenous availability of Vitamin D by sun exposition. Vitamin D hypovitaminosis have been described in high prevalence in autoimmune disease as SSc. The cholecalciferol contributes to improve the balance TH1/Th2/Treg in favor anti-inflammation and anti-fibrotic profile. Aim. to analyze the effect(s) of short-term cholecalciferol supplementation on cytokine profile in Th1, Th2, and Treg cells subpopulations in SSc patients. Method. Randomized clinical trial conduct in patients with SSc (ACR-EULAR 2015) who signed informed consent. General characteristics, severity of organ involvement scored by Medsger disease severity scale (MsDSS) and cytokine Th1, Th2 and Treg will be determinate. All data will be analyzed using SPSS software. It will be used parametric statistics for normally distributed variables and nonparametric statistics for free distribution.
This is a Phase 1/2/3 study in healthy children. Dependent upon safety and/or immunogenicity data generated during the course of this study, and the resulting assessment of benefit-risk, the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of BNT162b2 in participants <6 months of age may subsequently be evaluated.
The main objective of this project is to establish a prospective cohort to measure the Gram-negative infection burden in neonates under special care in a regional referral hospital, and to characterize all microorganisms isolates from these subjects at the phenotype and genotype level, specifically in relation to the expression of multi-drug resistance (MDR) associated genes (Molecular characterization of Gram-negative MDR isolates).
The pandemic we live through has put various sectors of the medical system and its tributaries to the test. The accumulation of external and internal stress has been completely correlated with the predisposition to psycho-emotional problems and, in turn, to drug use as an immature response for ego protection. That is why the economic, social, and psychological evaluation can help understand the current situation about drug abuse and how to help patients afflicted by it. The added stress of personal problems, work alterations, daily life in a pandemic, economic and varied responsibilities, and the understanding of the pandemic have predisposed and amplified the use of drugs to reduce emotional distress perceived by individuals. The hypothesis of this study is that the increment of stress and a lack of preparation for the pandemic are associated with increased drug abuse.
This study compares insulin icodec (a new insulin taken once a week) to insulin degludec (an insulin taken once daily which is already available on the market) in people with type 2 diabetes. The study will look at how well insulin icodec taken weekly controls blood sugar compared to insulin degludec taken daily. Participants will get their study medicine in an injection pen. Participants will get a pen for weekly injection and one for daily injection. One will be icodec or degludec and the other will be dummy medicine. The treatment participants get is decided by chance. Participants and the study staff will not know which active medicine they get. The insulin is injected with a needle in a skin fold in the thigh. The study could last for about 8 months. Participants will have 13 clinic visits and 17 phone calls with the study doctor. At 8 clinic visits participants will have blood samples taken. At 4 clinic visits participants cannot eat or drink (except for water) for 8 hours before the visit. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breast-feeding or plan to become pregnant during the study period.
The immunomodulatory effects of vitamin D are known to be beneficial in viral infections, it is also known that its deficiency is associated with a worse prognosis of COVID-19. This study aimed to determine the baseline vitamin D serum concentrations in asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic COVID-19 outpatients, as well as to evaluate the effects of supplementation with 10,00 IU/daily of vitamin D3 and its relationship with biochemical parameters and clinical features.

This online-based, observational retrospective registry aims to (i) study the rate of cardiovascular events, encompassing venous thromboembolic and arterial events, in consecutive hospitalized patients with coronavirus (Covid19), (ii) investigate the prevalent use of thromboprophylaxis, (iii) describe the use of imaging tests for the detection of cardiovascular events in patients with Covid19. This will also facilitate and constitute the basis for the conduction of interventional thromboprophylaxis studies in patients with Covid19.
