There are about 1295 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Lithuania. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Thirty-two participants with ACL rupture were included in the study. All participants were divided in two groups - control and experimental. In the experimental group (n=16) participants received 4 weeks standardized physiotherapy and Kinesio tape, in the control group - standardized physiotherapy. Experimental measurements: Anthropometric measurements, pain intensity, static and dynamic balance, proprioception, knee flexion and extension muscle torque, level of activity
Introducing restrictions on human contact has been effective in preventing the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19, however, it appears to have negatively impacted mental health. Psychological problems in different age groups occur with different intensity and duration of the pandemic. This study was aimed to assess the impact of introducing distance learning (e-Learning) on the stress levels and mental well-being among Polish, Slovak and Lithuanian Students.
This is a 2 year clinical study to compare 5-grass mix SLIT-drops with placebo in relieving grass pollen-induced rhinoconjunctivitis symptoms and in use of symptom-relieving medication during the second grass pollen season (peak grass pollen season, PGPS) The study will collect health-related quality of life data in the groups treated with 5-grass mix SLIT-drops or with placebo during the first and second PGPS. The trial medication used is already approved to treat allergic rhinitis caused by grass pollen in adults in several countries.
This is a clinical study in children and adolescents (5-17 years) with allergy to pollen from birch (or related trees). It compares the tree SLIT-tablet with placebo in relieving rhinoconjunctivitis symptoms during the birch/tree pollen season based on the average allergic rhinoconjunctivitis daily total combined score. The study will also collect health-related quality of life information in the groups treated with the tree SLIT-tablet or with placebo during the pollen season. The trial medication used is already approved to treat allergic rhinitis caused by birch/tree pollen in adults in several countries?.
Purpose and rationale: To demonstrate similar efficacy, safety and immunogenicity of SOK583A1 and Eylea EU as per Eylea approved treatment regimen in patients with nAMD. The primary clinical question of interest is: Does SOK583A1 have similar efficacy as Eylea EU in terms of mean change in BCVA score in participants with nAMD who are anti-VEGF naive, without important protocol deviations and adherent to the treatment and completed the treatment to Week 8?
The aim of the study is to assess the efficacy of an internet-based stress recovery intervention among healthcare staff during COVID-19 pandemic.
Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest rate is common problem, because of high mortality rate. It is not clear incidence rate, epidemiology and outcomes in Lithuania and Kaunas city included.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of high-dose ascorbic acid on microcirculation in sepsis.
Healing of post-extraction alveolus is a complex process that involves soft and hard tissues regeneration. Pain, swelling, difficulty of opening the mouth, delayed healing of bone tissue, alveolitis and horizontal or vertical resorption of bone tissue are the main problems that have impact on consequent treatment. Blood concentrates PRGF (plasma rich in growth factors) and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin), which are rich in growth factors, create better conditions for post-extraction alveolus healing and enhance quality of soft tissues and bone regeneration. Our study objective was to compare physiological healing of post-extraction zone, PRF and PRGF induced changes of healing process. Methods that we used: 43 patients were randomly divided into 3 groups: I control group - lower molar extraction and filling of post-extraction alveolus with hemostatic sponge containing gentamicin, II group - post-extraction alveolus is filled PRGF and III group - post-extraction alveolus is filled with PRF. Bone regeneration was evaluated in CBCT scans after 1 month. Pain was evaluated using visual analogical scale (VAS).
Despite the importance of physical activity for adolescent physical development, the specific impact of different types of exercise training on fine motor skills and testosterone concentration is unknown. A primary aim of this study was to analyze the benefits of cardiovascular and coordinative exercise training on fine motor skills in an adolescent population. A second aim of our study was to determine the testosterone concentration after physical stress of cardiovascular and coordinative exercise training and if testosterone was related to fine motor skills among adolescents following an exercise training intervention.
