There are about 4372 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Greece. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
A Phase 3 comparative study to determine the efficacy, safety and tolerability of Aztreonam-Avibactam (ATM-AVI) ± Metronidazole (MTZ) versus Meropenem (MER) ± Colistin (COL) for the treatment of serious infections due to Gram negative bacteria.
This is an interventional double-blind randomized controlled trial, to investigate the short and long-term effects of a supervised exercise training program in patients with IPF, depending on alternate patterns of oxygen supplementation during PR.
The aim of this trial is to verify - based on metabolomics and other anthropometric parameters - whether exclusive nutrition of infant formula enriched with synbiotics (probiotics B.lactis and prebiotics FOS), Long-Chain Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (AA, DHA) and nucleotides, is comparable to breast milk and to mixed nutrition including breast milk together with the enriched infant formula.
Pleural effusions (PE) are common conditions that signal either infection or cancer. The investigators aim to develop, validate, and prospectively assess the MAPED score, a clinical score that predicts malignancy at admission. This tool will assist clinicians all over the world to rapidly assess the probability of an effusion being malignant within 4 hours of admission.
Depression is a psychiatric disorder that affects mood, thoughts and is usually accompanied by physical annoyances. It affects the person's eating habits, his sleep, the way he sees himself and the way he thinks and understands. Depressed emotion has great tension, lasts longer and leads to a reduction in the person's functioning in many areas of his life. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is the psychiatric disorder characterized by a multitude of diverse organic responses as well as a generalized, persistent and indeterminate anxiety that covers almost all of the individual's activities. It is a diffuse and intense negative mood and anxiety that is present for most of the day and whose exact causes are often undetectable.
This study investigated the effects of bran's particle size on glycemic responses
The main objective is to assess long term safety of treatment with oral nintedanib in patients with Systemic Sclerosis associated Interstitial Lung Disease (SSc-ILD).
The development of a low-grade, chronic, systemic inflammation observed in the elderly (inflammaing) has been associated with increased risk for skeletal muscle wasting, strength loss and functional impairments. According to studies performed in animals and cell cultures increased concentrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α as well as increased levels of hs-CRP lead to elevated protein degradation through proteasome activation and reduced muscle protein synthesis (MPS) via downregulation of the Akt-mTOR signaling pathway. However, evidence regarding the effects of inflammaging on skeletal muscle mass in humans is lacking. Thus, the present study will compare proteasome activation and the protein synthetic response in the fasted and postprandial period between older adults with increased systemic inflammation and their healthy control counterparts.
A diagnostic devise, namely HemoSpec, had been developed that integrates clinical information, along with information on circulating protein biomarkers and the morphology of white blood cells to achieve early diagnosis of sepsis. The current study is aiming to validate and improve performance of HemoSpec for the rapid assessment of the critically ill patient.
The aim of this study is to examine the cardiovascular effects of ultramarathon running and their relation to performance.
