There are about 720 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Georgia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The correlation of the morphologic, microbiological, genetic and histopathological characteristics of TB lesions obtained in therapeutical surgery with the clinical forms and features of the patients will provide essential information 1. on the role of the host in the mechanisms associated to the generation and evolution of active TB and 2. about future diagnostic and/or prognostic biomarkers of TB disease. All this information could be used for patients stratification and/or to design new therapeutic strategies.
PAKT was an investigator-led, placebo-controlled, randomized phase II trial performed in 42 academic medical centers in the United Kindom, South Korea, France, Hungary, Romania, and Georgia. Patients were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive paclitaxel plus capivasertib or paclitaxel plus placebo. Stratification was by number of metastatic sites (< 3 v ≥ 3) and interval from the end of prior adjuvant or neoadjuvant chemotherapy (≤ 12 v > 12 months v no prior chemotherapy). Paclitaxel was administered as a once-per-week intravenous infusion of 90 mg/m2 over approximately 1 hour on days 1, 8, and 15 of each 28-day treatment cycle. Capivasertib 400 mg or placebo was administered orally twice per day on an intermittent weekly dosing schedule, with treatment on days 2 to 5 of weeks 1, 2, and 3 within each 28-day cycle. All treatments were continued until disease progression, development of unacceptable toxicity, or withdrawal of consent. If paclitaxel treatment was discontinued before disease progression, patients could continue to receive capivasertib or placebo alone. In case of adverse events (AEs), capivasertib or placebo could be reduced to 320 mg twice per day and subsequently to 240 mg twice per day. Capivasertib or placebo could be interrupted for up to 4 weeks for toxicity. Tumor assessments included computed tomography scanning or magnetic resonance imaging of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis at baseline, every 8 weeks during treatment, and at progression. Patients who discontinued treatment for any reason other than progression were required to follow the same schedule of assessments until progression, initiation of another treatment, death, or withdrawal of consent.
This study will be a two-arms study intending to demonstrate superiority of NexoBrid treatment over SOC in children with thermal burns. The study objective is to evaluate the safety and clinical benefit of NexoBrid in hospitalized children (0-17 years) with deep partial and/or full thickness thermal burns of 1-30% TBSA and to compare NexoBrid to standard of care (SOC).
This is an open-label, multicentre, 4-arm randomised phase II trial of fulvestrant + AZD2014 versus fulvestrant + everolimus versus fulvestrant alone in patients with ER-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer, whose disease relapsed during treatment with (or within 12 months after discontinuation of) an AI in the adjuvant setting or progressed during treatment with an AI in the metastatic setting. Patients will be randomised (2:3:3:2) to one of the four treatment arms: - Fulvestrant - Fulvestrant + AZD2014 (continuous daily schedule) - Fulvestrant + AZD2014 (intermittent schedule - 2 days on, 5 days off) - Fulvestrant + everolimus Randomization will be stratified by the following criteria: - Measurable disease (vs. non-measurable). - Sensitivity to prior endocrine therapy (sensitive versus resistant)
The purpose of this study is to determine if the addition of daratumumab to velcade (bortezomib) melphalan-prednisone (VMP) will prolong progression-free survival (PFS) compared with VMP alone in participants with previously untreated multiple myeloma who are ineligible for high dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT).
The e-Ultimaster will further validate the safety and efficacy of Ultimaster DES system in unselected patients representing everyday clinical practice. Also the study will assess the impact of non-compliance with dual antiplatelet therapy, one month after stent implementation (frequently observed in every day clinical practice), on stent thrombosis.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of NU100 in patients with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) as compared to placebo and an active comparator. The primary clinical objective selected for this Phase 3 study, the cumulative number of new combined unique active lesions (CALs; defined as new gadolinium T1-weighted lesions and non-enhancing new and newly enlarging T2-weighted lesions) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans over the course of 4 and 12 months of treatment to demonstrate the superiority of NU100 to placebo and the non-inferiority of NU100 to Betaferon®, respectively.
