There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study aims to evaluate with the VINELAND II scale the long-term neurocognitive development of children above age 3 years with pyridoxine dependent epilepsy related to antiquitine deficiency.
This is an interventional, prospective, randomized, monocentric study designed to develop medical knowledge. Virtual reality is increasingly used in rehabilitation. The aim of virtual reality is to investigate motor interactions in a fictitious, configurable environment, in order to train specific functions and transpose improvements into everyday life. The main objective of this study is to investigate the influence of different moving virtual scenes on the general spatiotemporal parameters of pressure centers, in a sub-acute stroke rehabilitation context. This would help health professionals to assess the most suitable VR exercise in function of patient's difficulties. During this study, patient movements while viewing 8 different virtual reality scenes will be recorded using a motion platform during a single session.
- Prospective, open-label, bi-center study, assessing the clinical outcomes of adaptive breast radiotherapy with ETHOS in hypersensitive patients. - Bi-centric with ETHOS center : ICM (Institut du Cancer de Montpellier) and ISC (Institut Sainte Catherine) Avignon - 500 patients will be included: - COHORTE A = Treatment ETHOS RT :46 evaluable patients with high risk of LRR and bf+ risk - COHORT B = Conventional IMRT : 454 others patients with high risk of LRR and bf- risk
The aim of the DECIdE study is to evaluate the effect of a decision aid (the DECIdE tool) for shared decision making concerning optional prescription drugs on the level of uncertainty-certainty or comfort-inconfort (= decisional conflict) experienced by patients, compared with a condition of routine care without the use of a decision aid. General practitionners and pharmacists will propose to their patients, complaining of a common symptom for which a drug is usually prescribed or dispensed, to discuss this drug and the symptom in order to reach a shared decision on whether to take it or choose another alternative.
Muscle involvement is poorly described in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) . The prevalence of muscle damage is evaluated at 5-95 % of SSc patients, particularly due to variable definitions depending on the series in the scientific litterature. Muscle clinicobiological and histological presentation an response to immunosuppressive treatments are highly variable. Muscle involvement defined by creatinine kinase (CK) elevation, the presence of electromyography (EMG) abnormalities and/or muscle magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) hyperintensities and/or muscle biopsy inflammation appears to be associated with diffuse SSc, the presence of cardiac damage, and anti-PM-Scl antibodies. The main objective is to describe muscular manifestations associated with SSc. Secondary objectives are: - to compare characteristics between SSc patients with and without muscle involvement - to determine homogeneous groups of SSc patients with muscle involvement
Haemostasis of cirrhotic patients is disturbed at different levels: primary haemostasis, coagulation and fibrinolysis, leading to a new haemostatic balance. Thrombocytopenia and thrombopathy are counterbalanced by elevation of Von Willebrand factor (VWF) and diminution of ADAMTS13 activity. Exploration of primary haemostasis is difficult in the laboratory, and non-interpretable in case of thrombocytopenia. Moreover, these tests are not performed under flow conditions. The T-TAS®01 system analyses the total haemostatic capacity in whole blood under shear stress, with chips coated with type 1 collagen. Platelets transfusion performs poorly in cirrhotic patients and is not recommended before invasive procedure. Platelets mimicking nanoparticles (PMNs) have been developed by Pr Sen Gupta (Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio (OH), USA). PMNs have been proven to collaborate with platelets and enhance haemostasis in different shear conditions in vitro and in different models of haemorrhage in vivo. The assumption of this study is that the perfusions characteristics of cirrhotic patients in the T-TAS®01 system will be different from those of non-cirrhotic patients, and that platelets mimicking nanoparticles will improve these characteristics.
This research focuses on behavioral sensitization (BS) a specific behavioural disturbance in crack-cocaine addiction. The primary objective is to observe whether BS can be demonstrated in an ecological setting in crack dependent users by continuous actimetry for 3 weeks. It is planned to include 20 persons with a current crack-cocaine addiction with a preferential use of rapid administration route (intravenous or smoke), in a care institution: Fernand Widal Hospital. In the proposed research, the investigators will assess the movements of crack-cocaine dependent users in relation to consumption. They will have to wear continuously for 3 weeks an actimeter. They will also have 3 blood tests trying to identify biomarkers of BS.
The stool color scale was set in 2018 in the health books of French children. The study aim is to see if the scale is usefull for healthcare professionals and if this scale has advanced the detection of neonatal cholestasis.
As part of the Reference Center for Rare Diseases of the Robert Debré Hospital, many children have eating and verbal oral disorders. In this doctoral research, we question the psychological impact of oral disorders on the dynamics of family functioning. Our research entitled: Evaluation and Remediation of Orality Disorders (ERTO) aims to evaluate the impact of psychological care of the child and a support program for parents. We hypothesized that this comprehensive management could contribute to improving disorders and consequently modify parental representations of the child and his disorders. In addition, care focused on intra-family relations and communication would allow a decentralization and a repositioning of the problem of disorders within the family dynamic. The results of this research will have concrete applications for the management of children suffering from oral disorders.
The aim of this observational study is to better understand the role and involvement of the regulatory elements of the CFTR gene, with the aim of better describing the 3D organisation of chromatin at the CFTR locus in epididymal cells in patients with male infertility of any kind, or with cystic fibrosis or bilateral agenesis of the vas deferens, requiring scheduled surgery. The main questions it aims to answer are: - to better characterise this 3D organisation of the CFTR locus, the study of regulatory elements in primary epididymal cells is the most relevant and realistic model. - to gain a better understanding of the regulation of the CFTR gene in epididymal cells in order to gain a better understanding of the pathology of male infertility caused by bilateral agenesis of the vas deferens, a symptom and also a borderline form of cystic fibrosis. Participants will Epididymal samples will be taken by a urologist for the AMP department during the planned surgery. The rest of the samples taken will be recovered for research purposes, with the aim of recovering the epididymal cells contained in the sample. This is in no way an additional procedure and will have no impact on the patient's health..
