There are about 3961 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Finland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a Phase II, randomized, multi-center, multinational, open-label, cross-over study in adult participants with PD-L1-positive NSCLC. Two populations will be included: participants with resected Stage II, IIIA, and selected IIIB (T3-N2) NSCLC who have completed adjuvant platinum-based chemotherapy without evidence of disease relapse/recurrence, and chemotherapy-naïve participants with Stage IV NSCLC. The study will evaluate participant- and healthcare professionals (HCP)-reported preference for atezolizumab subcutaneous (SC) compared with atezolizumab intravenous (IV).
This is a phase III randomized open label study designed to compare JDQ443 as monotherapy to docetaxel in participants with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring a KRAS G12C mutation who have been previously treated with a platinum-based chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy either in sequence or in combination.
The main purpose of Part A of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of mRNA-1345 vaccine and to demonstrate the efficacy of a single dose of mRNA-1345 vaccine in the prevention of a first episode of RSV-associated lower respiratory tract disease (RSV-LRTD) as compared with placebo from 14 days postinjection through 12 months. The main purpose of Part B of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of a booster dose (BD) of mRNA-1345 administered 24 months after the primary dose.
The aim is to determine the effect of investigational products on serum LDL cholesterol.
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of enzymatic treatment to reduce GOS (galactooligosaccharides) in legume-based crackers in IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) persons. The crackers are pea-based: the control crackers contain high amounts of GOS, while the enzymatically treated crackers contain a minimal amount of GOS. The participants will eat each type of cracker for three days (daily dose of 12 crackers) and report their gut symptoms (e.g. flatulence, stomach pain, bloating) by using a mobile app. There is a washout period of four days between the different crackers. In addition, the participants will keep food records on the cracker eating days as well as collect five fecal samples during the study. The participants will also report their physical activity and the number of defecations on each day. The study is carried out in a double-blinded crossover setting.
The primary objective is to compare pembrolizumab plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab to placebo plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab, with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) 1.1 as assessed by the investigator. The hypotheses are that pembrolizumab plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab is superior to placebo plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab, with respect to PFS per RECIST 1.1 as assessed by the investigator for participants with programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) positive tumors (Combined Positive Score [CPS] ≥1) and that pembrolizumab plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab is superior to placebo plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab, with respect to PFS per RECIST 1.1 as assessed by the investigator for all participants.
Self-fixed mesh and postoperative pain after laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery, a randomized clinical trial
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of mRNA 1647 vaccine in CMV-seronegative female participants and to evaluate the safety and reactogenicity of mRNA-1647 vaccine in all participants. The purpose of the Phase 3 extension sub study is to extend the observation period of the main study and to evaluate the longer-term immune persistence of mRNA-1647 vaccine administered to CMV-seronegative females who complete mRNA-1647-P301 main study and to assess for CMV seroconversion in CMV-seronegative participants who did not seroconvert during mRNA-1647-P301 main study. No interventional vaccine will be administered in the extension study.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of the combined meningococcal groups A, B, C, W and Y (MenABCWY-2Gen) vaccine intended to protect against invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) caused by all 5 meningococcal serogroups, in healthy infants 2 months of age (MoA) at enrolment.
Background: Morbid obesity is associated with decreased brain µ-opioid receptor availability, possibly resulting in higher food intake needed to gain pleasure from eating. This decrease seems to normalize already 6 months after bariatric surgery, but the longer-term effects have not been studied. Obesity and insulin resistance result in significantly increased brain insulin-stimulated glucose uptake, whereas in every other tissue glucose uptake is lower. One possible explanation to this could be central inflammation and activation of brain glial cells, which has been shown to occur in animal models of obesity. Obesity has also been shown to associate with increased risk of Alzheimer's disease and cognitive decline in several studies. Aims: The first objective of this study is to both study the effects of bariatric surgery as well as compare the effects of gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy on food-associated pleasure, extending the follow-up period to 2 years postoperatively. The second aim is to investigate the effect of morbid obesity and weight loss on brain inflammation and gliosis and its association with increased brain insulin-stimulated glucose uptake. Furthermore, association of obesity, insulin resistance, central inflammation and neurocognitive dysfunction are evaluated.
