NCT ID: NCT01020864 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Neoplasms

Cetuximab in Combination With Chemotherapy for Patients With Head and Neck Cancer

CECAVI
Start date: January 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is an open, multicenter phase II study. The purpose is to demonstrate the efficacy of cetuximab in combination with carboplatin and vinorelbine as second line treatment in patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancer who have progressed during or after treatment with first line cisplatinum.

NCT ID: NCT00952861 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Antibiotics in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

TAExaCOP
Start date: October 2009
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

It is not clear whether antibiotic therapy is needed in patients with mild to moderate exacerbation of chronic obstructive lung disease. The aim of the study is to compare the effect of 1 day of treatment with 6 days of treatment in patients who are admitted to hospital and being clinical stable (as judged by their physician) 24 hours after hospitalization

NCT ID: NCT00937300 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

T-cell Based Immunotherapy for Head and Neck Cancer

Start date: June 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to investigate the toxicity and immune response of therapy with tumor infiltrating lymphocytes as adjuvant treatment for head and neck cancer after primary operation and radiotherapy. Patient will receive a single treatment consisting of conditioning chemotherapy for seven days (cyclophosphamide for two days and fludarabine for five days), intravenous infusion of high number of in vitro expanded tumor infiltrating lymphocytes followed by two weeks with daily low-dose interleukine-2. Patients will be evaluated for toxicity and immune response.

NCT ID: NCT00935558 Withdrawn - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Dendritic Cell Based Therapy for Breast Cancer Patients

Start date: July 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary aim of this study is to investigate time to progression in breast cancer patients vaccinated with autologous dendritic cells pulsed with peptides in combination with adjuvant aromatase inhibitor (AI), Thymosin 1 alpha and interleukin-2. The secondary aim is to investigate whether a measurable immune response can be induced, and to evaluate the clinical effect (objective response rate) of the vaccination regime.

NCT ID: NCT00918593 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Ulcerated Cutaneous Metastases

Palliative Treatment of Ulcerated Cutaneous Metastases: Trial Between Electrochemotherapy and Radiotherapy

Start date: December 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

By applying short electric pulses to cells, the cell membranes can become permeabilised (electroporation). This can be used augment the effect of chemotherapy, by providing direct access to the cell cytosol. For the drug bleomycin, the enhancement of effect is several hundred fold, enabling once-only treatment. The investigators wish compare electrochemotherapy with radiotherapy when treating ulcerated cutaneous metastases up to 5 cm in diameter from any kind of histology.

NCT ID: NCT00888680 Withdrawn - Migraine Clinical Trials

Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study of BGC20-1531 in Migraine

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study is being conducted to explore the safety and effectiveness of a new chemical entity, BGC20-1531, in subjects with a history of migraine. In this study subjects will treat a total of three migraine attacks with two different doses of BGC20-1531 and placebo, with at least one week wash out period between doses.

NCT ID: NCT00741182 Withdrawn - Shoulder Fractures Clinical Trials

Effect of PTH(1-34) Treatment on Fracture Healing in Vivo

Start date: October 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to investigate, whether PTH(1-34) is able to promote fracture healing in postmenopausal women with fractures of the hip or shoulder.

NCT ID: NCT00730067 Withdrawn - COPD Clinical Trials

Sildenafil for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Associated Pulmonary Hypertension

Start date: June 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)can be complicated by an increased pressure in the pulmonary circulation. This worsens the prognosis, but so far it is unknown whether treatment of the increased pulmonary blood pressure betters the patients symptoms. In this study 32 patients with increased pulmonary blood pressure due to COPD will be randomized to 3 months treatment with placebo or sildenafil, which is known to lower the pulmonary blood pressure in other types of pulmonary hypertension. Our hypothesis is that treatment with sildenafil in these patients will improve the functional capacity measured by the distance walked in 6 minutes and life quality.

NCT ID: NCT00718055 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Colorectal Neoplasms

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Using Liverspecific Oral Contrast Agent in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Patients

Start date: November 2006
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to determine whether MRI with manganese containing contrast agent detects more livermetastasis compared to CT scan

NCT ID: NCT00699530 Withdrawn - Insulin Resistance Clinical Trials

Substrate Metabolism and Insulin Sensitivity in Patients With Hyperprolactinemia Before and After Treatment

Start date: May 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of chronic elevated levels of Prolactin on metabolism and insulin sensitivity by studying patients with hyperprolactinemia before and after treatment.
