There are about 25560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Germany. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
We aim to investigate whether RIPC (remote ischemic preconditioning) is effective in the TAVI setting to reduce post-procedural myocardial damage and improve patient outcome. Accordingly, we aim to investigate whether RIPC can be introduced as an integral part of the TAVI procedure, in order to reduce post-procedural myocardial damage and potentially improve patient outcome.
The aim of the TINN2 study is to evaluate the efficacy of azithromycin in prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in preterm neonates.
The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in oxygenation and decarboxylation between two weaning processes.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the RePneu Lung Volume Reduction Coil (LVRC) in patients with Alpha-1-Antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) caused emphysema. The hypothesis is that emphysema in AATD patients shows similar tissue destruction profile was well as symptoms and thus will respond favorably to LVRC treatment, demonstrating improvement in lung function, exercise capacity, and quality of life relative to their baseline status.
The present randomized controlled trial evaluates the incidence of R1 resections in patients undergoing robotic distal pancreatectomy compared to the laparoscopic technique.
NephroCheck is measuring the concentration of a certain protein combination in the urine of patients. In elevated values there is a probability of renal failure (already proven in intensive care patients). The investigators would like to investigate whether the investigators can predict renal failure in patients receiving contrast enhanced CT's in the emergency department. That would lead to an earlier nephrologist consult in those patients.
The purpose of the study is to compare the effect of intravitreal injections of ranibizumab and aflibercept on systemic VEGF protein levels in DME patients in a detailed time course.
Approximately 300 patients have to be enrolled in the study. They are followed up until the end of ICU stay. Usually in clinical routine, patients suspected to have infection and simultaneously renal dysfunction making CVVHDF necessary. After enrolment blood and dialysate specimens are drawn and sent for analysis on specific time points. The analysis results are sent back to the study team at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and enable them to optimize antiinfectiva treatment of the study patients. Data are used to test calculation tools and modify them if necessary.
In 50 Patients who are undergoing a planned surgical procedure which require a central venous catheter the diameter of the subclavian vein is measured by ultrasound under 6 different conditions.
