There are about 6915 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Austria. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a Phase 3, randomized, double-blind trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant treatment with pamrevlumab or placebo in combination with either gemcitabine plus nab-paclitaxel (G/NP) or FOLFIRINOX in the treatment of participants with locally advanced, unresectable pancreatic cancer.
This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, controlled Phase 3 trial of cabozantinib in combination with nivolumab and ipilimumab versus nivolumab and ipilimumab in combination with matched placebo. Approximately 840 eligible subjects with intermediate- or poor-risk advanced or metastatic RCC by IMDC criteria will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio at approximately 180 sites.
A Real World Evidence Prospective Cohort Study in the Management of Metastatic Colorectal Cancer: A Clinical and Patient Perspective
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) plus pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in the treatment of adult participants with unresected stage I or II (Stage IIB N0, M0) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The primary study hypothesis is SBRT plus pembrolizumab prolongs Event-free Survival (EFS) compared to SBRT plus placebo (normal saline solution).
Myopia, or nearsightedness, is the most common eye disorder, often affecting more than 40% of adults in Europe, Asia and the USA. Severe myopia is associated with an increased risk of developing other eye conditions such as glucoma, cataracts and retinal detachment, which may lead to blindness. Early treatment of myopia in children could help slow the condition and minimize the risk of complications later in life. This study investigates the use of SYD-101, an eye solution, in slowing-down the progression of myopia in children.
This post-marketing study is designed to compare the safety of baricitinib versus tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors with respect to venous thromboembolic events (VTEs) when given to participants with rheumatoid arthritis.
The researchers are doing this study to look whether the type 2 diabetes medicine, semaglutide, has a positive effect on heart disease. Participants will either get semaglutide tablets or placebo tablets ("dummy" medicine) - which treatment is decided by chance. Participants must take one tablet with water every morning on an empty stomach and not eat or drink anything for at least 30 minutes. The study will last for about 3.5-5 years. Participants will have up to 25 clinic visits and 1 phone call with the study doctor. Women cannot be in the study if pregnant, breast-feeding or if they plan to become pregnant during the study period.
This is an open label, multi-cohort, and multi-center phase II study, which evaluates the clinical activity and safety of IPH4102 in Sezary Syndrome and Mycosis fungoides as single agent.
A double-blind placebo controlled randomized Phase 3 study to determine if 80 or 100 mg of MGL-3196 as compared with placebo resolves NASH and/or reduces fibrosis on liver biopsy and prevents progression to cirrhosis and/or advanced liver disease
The BIOPACT RCT tiral investigates the efficacy and safety of stenosis, restenosis or occlusions in the femoropopliteal artery of patients presenting a rutherford classification 2,3 or 4 with a Passeo-18 Lux drug-coated balloon of Biotronik. The Paclitaxel eluting balloons are designed for percutaneous transluminal angioplasties in which the balloon will dilate the artery upon inflation and deliver the paclitaxel locally. An expected total of 151 patients will be treated with the Passeo-18 Lux and compared to a control group of another 151 patients that will be treated with the IN.PACT Admiral drug-coated balloon of Medtronic. Assignment to the treatment groups will be at random. The study will be conducted in two phases. A first pilot study phase of 120 patients distributed evenly over both treatment groups and a second phase to formally test the non-inferiority hypothesis. The balloon is coated with Paclitaxel intended to avoid cellular proliferation. The drug is released by means of rapid inflation as to release a high dose in a short amount of time. Patients will be invited for a follow-up visit at 1, 6 and 12 months post-procedure. The primary efficacy endpoints are defined as follows. Freedom from clinically-driven target lesion revascularization at 12 months. Freedom from device- and procedure-related death through 30 days post-index procedure, major target limb amputation through 12 months post-procedure and clinically-driven target vessel revascularization through 12 months post-index procedure. The secondary endpoints are defined as acute device success, acute procedural success , freedom from all cause of death, major target limb amputation and clinically driven target vessel revascularisation through 30 days post-procedure, sustained clinical improvement, no major adverse events through 6 and 12 months post-procedure, primary patency, target lesion revascularisation, target vessel revascularisation, binary restenosis, major target limb amputation, thrombosis at target lesion, change of walking impairment questionnaire score from baseline, change in target limb rutherford classification or ABI.
