View clinical trials related to Congestive Heart Failure.
Filter by:The aim of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy on the transplantation of autologous human cardiac-derived stem cells (hCSCs) with the controlled release of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) to severe refractory heart failure patients with chronic ischemic cardiomyopathy concordance with reduced left ventricular dysfunction (15%≦LVEF≦35%).
The purpose of this study is in a phase I/II safety and efficacy study to evaluate the clinical effect of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) combined pedicled omentum wrapped autologous atrial tissue patch cardiomyoplasty for patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the functional outcomes of resynchronization management and to describe the patient psychosocial characteristics (depression ad anxiety) and associated outcomes with electrophysiologic device therapy for chronic congestive heart failure.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of a new sensor-based diagnostic feature, which has been implemented in a cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) device. This trial will study the effectiveness of the diagnostic feature to detect heart failure events in medically stable, ICD-indicated, congestive heart failure patients.
The purpose of this study is to compare Dual LV (left ventricular) pacing to standard single LV pacing (BiV pacing) to see if Dual LV pacing: 1. Improves the way the heart's left ventricle functions 2. Decreases the number of hospital and clinic visits for heart failure related symptoms 3. Slows the rate patients experience certain heart failure symptoms 4. Reduces uncoordinated heart contractions
The purpose of this study is to determine whether waveforms of the intracardiac electrograms, acquired through an ICD, can be used: - to predict malignant ventricular arrhythmias, requiring appropriate ICD therapies, and - to predict progression of heart failure in patients with ICD.
A 28-week, feasibility study to investigate the safety and efficiency of the Automatic Fluid Shunt in patients with chronic congestive heart failure, ascites and diuretic resistance.
This study will assess the effect of vildagliptin on left ventricular function in patients with type 2 diabetes and congestive heart failure (NYHA Class I-III). Effect on HbA1c and overall safety and tolerability will also be assessed.
This study evaluated the effect of early initiation of aliskiren therapy, compared to standard therapy, in the reduction of cardiovascular death and heart failure re-hospitalization events within 6 months, in congestive heart failure (CHF) patients hospitalized for an episode of acute decompensated heart failure.
Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is a disease that is characterized by vasoconstriction of small vessels of the lung. Many cases do have proliferation of endothelial cells within these vessels. A possible influence of polymorphisms of genes relevant for inflammatory and endothelial processes is suspected. Especially patients with chronic heart failure can develope PH. The reasons therefore are lacking. The researchers investigate different polymorphism and the influence of these on pulmonary artery pressure (measured invasively) in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) and patients with primary pulmonary hypertension.
