NCT ID: NCT06314321 Completed - Clinical trials for Hemodialysis Complication

The Effect of Baduanjin on Shoulder Function in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients

Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of 18-month Baduanjin exercise on shoulder joint function in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. 60 MHD patients aged 18-75 will included in this study and randomly divided into two groups (intervention group and control group). The intervention group will be led by a professional person and underwent Baduanjin exercise three times a week before hemodialysis. The control group maintained routine treatment and daily activities.

NCT ID: NCT05880914 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Diseases

Precision Medicine Approaches to Renal Osteodystrophy

PMaROD
Start date: December 21, 2022
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Treatment of renal osteodystrophy is impeded by the lack of practical and accurate tools to determine underlying bone turnover. Gold standard bone biopsy is not practical in the clinic for the vast majority of kidney disease patients and parathyroid hormone and bone alkaline phosphatase have insufficient accuracy for turnover type to safely and confidently guide treatment of renal osteodystrophy. In the present investigation, the investigators will study a microRNA approach as a novel non-invasive biomarker of turnover for renal osteodystrophy.

NCT ID: NCT05439980 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Diseases

Improving Phosphate Control in Children With CKD

IMPACT
Start date: June 20, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Research goals: To explore the views and baseline knowledge of children and young people (CYP) with CKD and their caregivers to develop effective phosphate educational materials (PEM), adapted for age, and acknowledging different learning styles

NCT ID: NCT04013139 Completed - Ckd-Mbd Clinical Trials

Relationship Between Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing and Ca-P in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Reductions in exercise capacity associated with exercise intolerance augment cardiovascular disease risk and predict mortality in chronic kidney disease. This study utilized cardiopulmonary exercise testing to (a) investigate mechanisms of exercise intolerance; (b) unmask subclinical ca and p and vitamin D abnormalities that may precede cardiovascular disease in chronic kidney disease.
