Filter by:This is a prospective crossover study to compare the within-subject effect of the two target ranges of arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2), both within the clinically recommended range of 90- 95%. The specific objective of this study to evaluate the impact of targeting SpO2 within 93-95% compared to the 90-92% range on ventilatory stability in premature infants of 23-29 weeks gestational age (GA).
There is an unmet demand for the evaluation of nocturnal hypoventilation in children with NMD. An ambulatory screening tool that can reliably facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment in these children would be invaluable. If an ambulatory, at home, tcCO2 monitoring device is shown to be diagnostically accurate, sleep physicians would be able to triage children on existing waiting lists and optimize screening of nocturnal hypoventilation as recommended by international guidelines.
The study objective is to collect heart rate, respiration rate and motion data of patients admitted to sleep lab and to determine the accuracy level of the EarlySense system vs. the monitors used in sleep lab (e.g., Polysomnography, respiratory belts, ECG, etc..) . Data regarding sleep condition, scoring and quality of sleep and in and out of bed status, patient turns will also be collected and compared to data collected by EarlySense contactless monitor. Different patient population will be monitored including obese, morbidly obese, patients with or without obstructive/central apnea, patients with or without arrhythmia as well as healthy population who arrive to sleep lab for general evaluation will be monitored
The purpose of this study is to determine whether buspirone compared to acetazolamide and to placebo will reduce the number and/or severity of breathing pauses during sleep that occur in some patients with Heart Failure.
