Moxonidine in Patients Undergoing Vascular Surgery

Investigating the perioperative effect of moxonidine. In a randomized double-blind fashion, patients undergoing vascular surgery will receive moxonidine 0.2 mg or placebo from the day before surgery until day 4 after surgery. Holter-EKG for 48 h, starting just before surgery. Repeated 12-lead EKG, measurements of Troponin I and BNP, clinical visitations, follow-up interviews at 6 and 12 months

Effects of Black Tea on Cardiovascular Disease in the Mauritian Population

It is proposed to investigate the association between consumption of black tea and various selective fasting blood serum and urine biomarkers in a Mauritian population with ischaemic heart diseases. This study, the first of its kind, will provide clinical data on the potential prophylactic propensities of Mauritian black tea against cardiovascular disease, which remains one of the major health threats to the Mauritian population.

Angiomax in Patients With HIT/HITTS Type II Undergoing Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) (CHOOSE)
