B-Receptor Signaling in Cardiomyopathy

We hope to determine the importance of different genes (including B receptors) in anthracycline-induced cardiomyopathy. This has important benefits to patients exposed to anthracyclines, as this could help determine whether certain individuals have increased susceptibility to cardiac injury.

Symptom Assessment With Patient Surveys

The primary purpose of the proposed research is to explore methods of obtaining symptom assessments from pediatric oncology patients and/or their caregivers in hopes of improving the accuracy and thoroughness of these reports. Additionally the researchers hope to simply staff efforts in obtaining detailed medical histories from pediatric oncology patients.

Clinical Pharmacology Study of Brentuximab Vedotin (SGN-35)

The purpose of this study is to identify brentuximab vedotin drug-drug interactions in patients with CD30-positive cancers and to determine the main route of excretion. The study will also assess blood drug levels in patients with renal or hepatic impairment (special populations).
