NCT ID: NCT06335420 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Colorectal Cancer Prevention

Prophylactic Properties of Carrot Juice in Patients With High-Risk Colorectal Polyps

Px7
Start date: April 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this prospective randomized double-blinded bi-national study is to test the prophylactic effect of polyacetylenes from carrots on the population of patients who had a resection of high-risk adenomas of the large bowel. The main question it aims to answer is: Will carrot juice rich in polyacetylenes inhibit neoplastic transformation and growth in high-risk humans? Participants will have to drink 100 ml of juice daily after the adenoma resection for 1 year and keep a simple diary/calendar. Researchers will compare the group with ingestion of FaOH/FaDOH rich carrot juice versus the group consuming placebo juice, to see if the polyacetylenes significantly reduces neoplastic transformation and growth in high-risk patients.

NCT ID: NCT06335628 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Connective Tissue Graft

Volumetric Dimensional Changes After Surgical Pontic Site Development Procedures With Connective Tissue Graft or Collagen Matrix

Start date: April 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this research project is to compare two surgical procedures to improve soft tissue volume. Both procedures have already been validated, but despite their great clinical relevance, little data exists in the literature. With this study, the investigators aim to evaluate volumetric changes of connective tissue graft versus biomaterial (membrane). In addition, further clinical measurements will be taken and patient satisfaction will be assessed.

NCT ID: NCT06336148 Not yet recruiting - Solid Tumor Clinical Trials

A Phase 1a/1b Study of ACTM-838 in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors

Start date: April 2024
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a first in human (FIH) 2-part study using ACTM-838 in patients with advanced solid tumors resistant to standard of care treatment. Part 1a will evaluate dose escalation and Part 1b will evaluate dose expansion.

NCT ID: NCT06337357 Not yet recruiting - Diabetes Clinical Trials

Results of Progressive Resistance Training in Older Type 2 Diabetic Patients With Sarcopenia

Start date: April 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A randomized controlled clinical trial that will test how progressive resistance training will impact outcomes of sarcopenia in older patients with type 2 diabetes who have been diagnosed as sarcopenia. The intervention will be 12 weeks in duration with approximately 24 sessions of resistance exercises. Outcome measures will be collected at baseline, 4, 8 weeks and 12 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT06337786 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Investigating the Effects of the Digital App Rheumabuddy4.1 in a Clinical Set-up in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: April 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is one of the most frequently occurring autoimmune rheumatic diseases, affecting an estimated 1% of the global population (1). RA is a chronic inflammatory disease that leads to the development of synovial inflammation and effusion, ultimately followed by joint destruction and permanent disability. There is a discrepancy in the understanding of what's of importance when living a life with a chronic disease. The importance of patients' perspectives concerning disease- and treatment related impacts, is of crucial importance when involving patients in decisions about treatment, and to support the patients in optimal medication-taking behaviour to ensure patient health and reduce health care costs. There are still unmet needs that have a huge impact on quality of life (QoL) such as fatigue, pain, sleep and psychological issues, etc, which need to be taken seriously as these can have severe and debilitating consequences for the individual. The aim of this study is to investigate and evaluate the effects of the digital app RheumaBuddy4.1 (RB4.1) and the ability to provide support and increase quality of life in patients with RA

NCT ID: NCT06338579 Not yet recruiting - Self Medication Clinical Trials

Overview of Self-medication Among French Navy Personnel

AutoMMaN
Start date: April 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this cross-sectional descriptive observational study is to assess the extent of self-medication among the crews of surface ships at the Toulon naval base. This study could include healthy volunteers, or participants with well-controlled chronic pathologies enabling them to be fit for embarkation, who are currently being deployed for at least 4 weeks on a surface ship at the naval base. Participants will tick and complete a questionnaire (between 15 and 30 minutes) after 4 consecutive weeks on the ship.

NCT ID: NCT06338800 Not yet recruiting - Anxiety Disorders Clinical Trials

One Session Virtual Reality During Ongoing Treatment for Anxiety: Feasibility in Children and Adolescents

Start date: April 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to evaluate one session with exposure with Virtual Reality (VR) in in children and adolescents, aged 8-18 years with an anxiety disorder. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. What are the expectations of children and adolescents and therapists with VR exposure? 2. What is the acceptability of the VR session (positive and negative effects)? 3. What are possible working mechanisms of VR exposure? NCT ID: NCT06339086 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Efficacy and Safety of Semaglutide Injection in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: April 2024
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the similarities in efficacy and safety of semaglutide injection and Ozempic® in patients with type 2 diabetes who have poor glycemic control after metformin treatment. Participants will receive either a dose of semaglutide or Ozempic® once weekly (subcutaneous injection) as add-on to metformin for 32 weeks. Researchers will compare the outcomes of semaglutide and Ozempic® group to see if the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity of them are similar.
