Anonymous questionnaire regarding relationship and sexual satisfaction as well as quality of life of stoma patients.
Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma (PCNSL) have a specific mutational profile in comparison to systemic diffuse large cells lymphoma (DLBCLs) that can be related to the expression of immunohistochemical markers as cyclon, NPM1, CD30, and P53 which could be predictive factor for prognosis and/or chemotherapy response. The main objective of this study is to identify new prognostic factors and new potential therapeutic targets. The secondary objectives are to correlate the histological, the radiological and the clinical's informations of these patients.
The current study aims to evaluate a newly developed CSM narrative intervention in increasing HPV vaccination intentions and uptake in adults aged 18 to 26 years. The efficacy of the newly designed CSM-guided narrative video will be compared against a time and attention video and the standard of care print educational materials in increasing the intentions and uptake of the HPV vaccine in an adult Hispanic-majority college population. It is expected that participants receiving the CSM-guided narrative video will have greater HPV vaccine intentions compared with participants in the time and attention video and standard of care print education material groups. It is also hypothesized that participants receiving the CSM-guided narrative video will have greater HPV vaccine uptake at one month post-intervention compared with participants in the time and attention video and standard of care print education material groups.
FOLFOX, the first-line regimen based on 5-FU and oxaliplatin, is adjuvant chemotherapy for pathologic stage II/III colorectal cancer patients. Among various side effects of FOLFOX, chemotherapy-induced anemia occurs in about 30% of patients with FOLFOX chemotherapy. An oral iron supplement is a widely accepted treatment for chemotherapy-induced anemia, but an oral iron supplement has a lot of inconveniences that can make patients' adherence worse, such as gastrointestinal discomfort, a long period of oral intake, and late recovery of serum iron level. Intravenous iron infusion has been recently reported to be effective and safe to correct anemia. Previous studies reported that intravenous iron is also effective to correct chemotherapy-induced anemia. However, there is a paucity of studies associated with colorectal cancer patients with FOLFOX chemotherapy. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of intravenous iron on chemotherapy-induced anemia after FOLFOX chemotherapy for patients with colorectal cancer compared with the effect of oral iron supplements. Parameters including serum Hb, serum iron, serum ferritin concentrations, total iron-binding capacity, absolute neutrophil count, platelet, albumin, C reactive protein, hepcidin, soluble transferrin receptor, and IL6 will be analyzed. In addition, information on chemotoxicity, adverse events during chemotherapy and quality of life will be collected and analyzed.
The objective is to examine association between TV exposure ,mobile device use and other electronic devices on attention and language development in children.
This is an open, one-arm study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of mRNA personalized tumor vaccine (tumor vaccine) encoding neonatal antigen in combination with Sintilimab injection for adjuvant prevention of postoperative recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma.
Although the primary organ of gas exchange is the lung, it has been recognized for some time that other organs have a potential role in gas exchange. There is emerging evidence that the gastrointestinal tract may have the capacity to act as an organ of gas exchange. Several recent studies in both animals and humans have indicated that orally administered oxygenated nanobubbles is a safe intervention that can improve tissue oxygenation. Oxygen nanobubbles can reduce the hypoxia in tumours when injected, in conjunction with sonodynamic therapy. In mice, researchers have shown a reduction in tumour hypoxia and improved response to sonodynamic therapy occurs even when the oxygen nanobubbles are orally administered. This will be an in vivo randomized, double-blinded, cross-over, placebo-controlled study consisting of rowers. By measuring the time taken by participants to complete a 2000m row after consuming an Oxygen nanobubbles drink, and a placebo drink, the investigators will evaluate the efficacy of the nanobubbles on the exercising ability of the participant.
This randomized, double-blind, multicenter, placebo-controlled Phase II trial was designed to investigate the efficacy and safety of GM1 in the prevention of peripheral neuropathy caused by albumin-bound paclitaxel regimen in breast cancer patients. This study was randomly divided into 3 groups at 1:1:1 with 50 subjects in each group Subjects received study treatment until the end of treatment for a total of 4/6 cycles. The treatment period was GM1/ placebo combined with albumin-bound paclitaxel therapy. GM1 / placebo was administered 1 day before administration (D0), on the day of administration (D1) and on the day after administration (D2), and albumin-bound paclitaxel was administered starting on day D1, with a total of 4/6 cycles.
The research will be carried out in a randomized controlled experimental study design in order to evaluate the effect of standard patient simulation method on communication skills, satisfaction and self-confidence in learning of nursing students in communication with intensive care patients. The research will be conducted face-to-face with nursing students who are in the 2nd year of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Sinop University and meet the inclusion criteria in the fall semester of 2022-2023, after the necessary permissions are obtained for the study.
Aim of the work: To study the corneal topographic pattern changes in patients who have pterygium excision by two surgical techniques (bare sclera, conjunctival autograft).
