Long Term Results After Hip Arthroscopy

A common cause of hip joint pain in the young and active population is femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome. if FAI is left untreated, the changed morphology will have a negative effect on the existing joint and will contribute to the development of osteoarthritis (OA). Hip arthroscopy is the first choice of operative treatment for FAI. While hip arthroscopy improves the patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), the influence of this treatment on the contribution to the development of osteoarthritis after FAI is to the best of our knowledge still unknown.

In high thrombus burden subgroup of Acute STEMI, manual aspiration thrombectomy was associated with reduced cardiovascular death but increased stroke or transient ischemic attack. The role of aspiration thrombectomy is still a matter of active debate. Manual aspiration suffers from decreasing aspiration force as the syringe fills with fluid and requires the operator to exchange syringes during the procedure to maintain suction.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic disease characterized by remitting and relapsing inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) are the two main types of IBD and their incidence and prevalence are increasing. In about 5-50% of patients with IBD, there are several extraintestinal manifestations as primary sclerosing cholangitis, autoimmune/granulomatous hepatitis, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease "MASLD"(formerly NAFLD) is a spectrum of hepatic diseases associated with metabolic and cardiovascular disorders, such as obesity, insulin resistance (IR), hypertension, dyslipidemia, impaired glucose tolerance and type 2 diabetes mellitus. The risk factors of developing liver steatosis in patients with IBD remain undetermined. Some studies have supported traditional risk factors, such as type 2 Diabetes mellitus (T2DM), weight gain, or obesity, to contribute to MAFLD development in patients with IBD. Other studies have highlighted the involvement of disease activity, duration, drug-induced liver injury and small bowel surgeries in MAFLD progression. Limited data are available on the frequency and risk factors of MASLD in Egyptian patients with IBD, and no published Egyptian study has addressed the clinical utility of serum steatosis markers in MASLD prediction in IBD population. Moreover, the impact of MASLD on IBD course is unclear. Therefore, we will conduct our study to shed some light on this issue.

The goal of this observational study is to compare the developmental trajectories of prosocial behaviors and functional network connections in infants and toddlers at high and low risk of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The main questions it aims to answer are what the differences in prosocial behaviors and related brain network connections between infants/toddlers at high and low risk of ASD are. Participants will receive developmental and social communicational assessments (Griffiths Mental Developmental Scales, Peabody Developmental Motor Scales, The Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scales Developmental Profile Infant-Toddler Checklist), resting-state EEG and MRI in a natural sleeping state.

This study proposes a horse-assisted therapy (HAT) approach to accompany children and young adults undergoing irradiation in the ICANS Radiotherapy Department. The aim of this new approach is to improve quality of life and reduce anxiety in children and adolescents treated with radiotherapy. The impact of equine-assisted therapy on quality of life and anxiety disorders will be described prospectively between the start and end of irradiation in children and parents who agree to inclusion.

Prevalence of Dissociative Identity Disorder in At-risk Outpatient Groups Reporting Childhood Trauma.

The investigators will study the prevalence of dissociative identity disorder (DID) in three populations at risk in cases of childhood psychotrauma : patients with a diagnosis of borderline personality, patients with a diagnosis of functional dissociative crises (FDC) and patients with early psychosis. The investigators will also study the prevalence of other dissociative disorders and the frequency of complex post-traumatic stress disorder. The investigators will also look for correlations between the type of maltreatment in childhood, the age of onset of trauma and the type of diagnosis of dissociative disorders. The investigators hope to include 150 borderline patients, 150 FDC patients and 50 early psychosis patients. Data collection will be done via a psychometric administration of 7 self-completion questionnaires as well as the completion of the SCID-D semi-structured interview.
