Filter by:Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM) is an advanced form of mammography which is performed after injection of contrast or dye into a vein in the arm. This dye is the same dye that is used for CT scans. This type of mammogram includes a regular mammogram as well as additional pictures with the dye. This particular study is being done to determine if by adding the dye in the veins the investigators are better able to identify the cause of the lump than if they just did the regular mammogram alone.
The primary hypothesis of this project is that using molecular breast imaging (MBI) in evaluating women with equivocal mammographic or sonographic findings will demonstrate high specificity in distinguishing benign from malignant breast disease and, as a result, decrease the number of biopsies.
The objective of this study is to demonstrate that digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) in combination with full field digital mammography (FFDM) has the potential to reduce significantly baseline screening recall rates without a loss in the detection of cancers. The primary hypothesis of the study is that DBT in combination with FFDM will reduce baseline screening mammography recall rates in negative examinations by at least 20%.
The purpose of this study is to determine if breast imaging with ultrasound can be improved by using 1) a ultrasound attachment with two transducers and 2) a contrast agent. These changes might allow smaller blood vessels to be seen than under the way breast ultrasound is usually performed.
The purpose of this study is to compare 3D mammography with digital mammography in women with dense breasts for the detection and evaluation of masses and/or breast cancer.
Preliminary imaging study to test for future use of this MRI-imaging for evaluating anti-angiogenesis treatment.
