NCT ID: NCT03187938 Completed - Clinical trials for Low Birth Weight Infants

Alkaline Phosphatase Level in Pregnancy and Its Association With Birth Weight

Start date: June 14, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Alkaline phosphatase is known to be produced by syncytiotrophoblasts in the placenta and its levels are normally increased in pregnancy. Therefore, it would be reasonable to hypothesize that alkaline phosphatase would be low to low normal in cases of low birth weight / intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR)/ placental insufficiency.

NCT ID: NCT03187769 Completed - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Efficacy of ALKS 3831 on Body Weight in Young Adults Who Have Been Recently Diagnosed With Schizophrenia, Schizophreniform, or Bipolar I Disorder

Start date: June 8, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the effect of ALKS 3831 compared to olanzapine on body weight in young adults with schizophrenia, schizophreniform, or bipolar I disorder who are early in their illness

NCT ID: NCT03186820 Completed - Endometriosis Clinical Trials

Exploratory Study of the Interest of MRI Susceptibility Weighted Imaging for the Pre-operative Assessment of Pelvic Endometriosis Extent

EndoSWI
Start date: June 19, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Knowledge of the precise location of endometriosis is essential for a successful surgical treatment. MRI Susceptibility-Weighted Imaging (SWI-MRI) yields high sensitivity for blood by-products detection. Since endometriosis lesions are haemorrhagic, and therefore rich in blood by-products such as hemosiderin, SWI-MRI could be useful in the pre-operative assessment of endometriosis, especially in superficial peritoneal lesion detection. The purpose of our study is to evaluate the performance of SWI-MRI for the preoperative work-up of endometriosis

NCT ID: NCT03180489 Completed - Weight Loss Clinical Trials

Does Dapagliflozin Provide Additional Health Benefits To Dietary Counseling For Weight Loss?

Start date: May 3, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Dapagliflozin is a medicine to treat diabetes. Its mechanism of action is via sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibition. In adults with diabetes, use of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors is associated with moderate weight (fat) loss, in addition to other health benefits, including decreased blood pressure, decreased inflammation, and decreased oxidative stress. It is unclear as to whether these health benefits are due to SGLT2 inhibition per se, or as a secondary effect of weight loss. We wish to compare the health benefits of dietary counseling for weight loss with and without concomitant use of an SGLT2 inhibitor.

NCT ID: NCT03159689 Completed - Overweight Clinical Trials

The Effect of a Healthy Snack on Body Weight and Composition

Start date: February 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The results from this study may help to explain if incorporating mixed nuts in a reduced calorie diet will lead to weight loss.

NCT ID: NCT03156660 Completed - Smoking Cessation Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Two Novel Behavioral Post-cessation Weight Gain Interventions

Start date: November 30, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study aims to randomize 400 participants to 1 of 3 arms: a) a weight stability intervention prior to smoking cessation (Group 1); b) a weight loss intervention prior to smoking cessation (Group 2); or c) a self-guided weight management prior to cessation (Group 3) and to determine the efficacy of the interventions on preventing weight gain at 12 month follow-up. All 3 conditions receive a highly efficacious behavioral smoking cessation program and 6 months of varenicline pharmacotherapy (ChantixTM), the most efficacious medication for smoking cessation.

NCT ID: NCT03154268 Completed - Clinical trials for Gestational Weight Gain

Retrospective Longitudinal Study of Gestational Weight Gain Among Chinese Pregnant Women

GWGCPW
Start date: January 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to investigate the reference ranges and rates of gestational weight gain among Chinese pregnant women, and to analyze the correlation between gestational weight gain and adverse outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT03146429 Completed - Weight Change, Body Clinical Trials

Prediction of Future Weight Change With Dopamine Transporter

Start date: January 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is the re-analyzing study of observational study by Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative

NCT ID: NCT03139760 Completed - Weight Loss Clinical Trials
