Filter by:The Cardiovascular disease research using Linked Bespoke studies and Electronic Records (CALIBER) e-health database was the data resource for this study. CALIBER links patient records from four different data sources: Clinical Practice Research Database (CPRD), MINAP (Myocardial Ischaemia National Audit Project registry) Hospital Episodes Statistics (HES), the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
We plan to integrate WHO educational material using mobile phone text messaging, target on pregnant women in remote rural areas in China. We hypothsized that text messaging can have major impact on reducing maternal and infant deaths in rural China because text messaging is accessible, acceptable, and affordable.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that a BioFreedom™ Drug Coated Stent is non-inferior to a bare metal stent at one year as measured by the composite safety endpoint of cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction and definite/probable stent thrombosis, and that its efficacy is superior to a bare metal stent as measured by clinically driven TLR at one year.
ASPREE-XT is a post-treatment, longitudinal observational follow-up study of ASPREE participants [ASPREE Investigator Group, 2013; www.aspree.org; McNeil et al 2017]. Although the ASPREE trial medication was ceased, the study activity was not stopped and ASPREE participants are continuing with scheduled visits and phone calls. An observational follow-up phase (ASPREE-XT), began in January, 2018. This will enable the monitoring of possible delayed effects of aspirin treatment, primarily on cancer incidence, metastases and mortality. In addition to monitoring the incidence of malignancy within the ASPREE cohort, the opportunity will be taken to observe any other residual effects of aspirin on the endpoints being monitored in the cohort. Continuity of contact with study participants is the key to retention of the cohort for any ongoing or future studies.
The primary focus of this study is to collect information through diagnostic testing, blood sample analysis and patient data collection on patients starting hemodialysis to determine risk and preventative factors of bleeding and clotting events.
