View clinical trials related to Atrophy.
Filter by:This is a double-masked, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial, evaluating the efficacy and safety of ALK-001 in participants with Geographic Atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Up to 200 participants will receive ALK-001 while up to 100 participants will receive a placebo.
Evaluate the effect of IONIS-FB-LRx on the rate of change of the area of geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD) measured by fundus autofluorescence (FAF).
Research purpose To elucidate the effect mechanism and clinical effective of weifuchun in the prevention and treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis and precancerous lesions of gastric cancer. From genes related to cell differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis, tumor invasion and metastasis, genes related to immune inflammation and immune escape and other possible aspects to elucidate the effective and mechanism of weifuchun's treatment on chronic atrophic gastritis, reversing precancerous lesions of gastric cancer.
This study will examine the influence of n3 PUFA supplementation on the rate of muscle atrophy in older women undergoing 1 week of unilateral limb immobilization. Assessments in skeletal muscle strength and skeletal muscle volume will also me made before, after and in recovery from immobilization.
A global study of oral risdiplam in pre-symptomatic participants with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
This study evaluates the clinical, histopathological, cytological and microbiological efficacy of Microablative Fractional CO2 laser intravaginally administered in postmenopausal women with Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause. Half participants will receive active CO2 laser therapy, while the other half will receive placebo CO2 laser therapy.
Spinal cord (SC) involvement is prevalent in multiple sclerosis (MS) and contributes importantly to disease progression. To be able reliably evaluate spinal cord volume and its changes in MS patients we need to understand variability of these parameters in sex and age matched healthy controls (HC). To date, no generally available data about these parameters in HC are available. The objective of this study is to investigate age and sex matched HC by MRI to get the basic set of the data representing both cross sectional values and its longitudinal changes. The present study will also investigate different strategies how to normalize the absolute spinal cord and brain volume data, what is a relationship between spinal cord volume and brain volume and what is the best protocol to be used in a routine clinical practice.
This study evaluates the use of short dental implants to support mandibular overdenture together with the use of laser therapy for treatment of patients with atrophic ridges. All participants will receive laser therapy; half of participants will receive two short implants and the other half will receive four short implants.
This is a non-inferiority study to evaluate whether L-PRF achieves similar or perhaps better results in bone gain, compared with "the golden standard" DBBM, after trans-crestal sinus floor elevation.
The L-PRF block is a combination of bone substitute with L-PRF. The use of a L-PRF block in bone augmentation therapies could enhance and improve bone regeneration. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate if the use of autologous leukocytes and platelet rich fibrin accelerate and promotes bone regeneration in the sinus in comparison with the standard sinus lift procedure procedure.
