Proximal RCA occlusions were very often found among men with fatal pre-hospital MI; whereas left-sided coronary occlusions were significantly more frequent in hospital-admitted survivors of MI. Although expert consensuses recommend the use of statins in the treatment of atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis, in patients with severe atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis undergoing stent placement, the related investigation focused on renal protection by intensive lipid-lowering therapy is scant , and the optimal target level for lipid reduction remain uncertain. Therefore, we hypothesized that intensive lipid lowering could offer more benefits with respect to renal function in the patients with percutaneous renal artery stenting. We conducted the prospective randomized unblinded trial to compare the renal-protective effect of intensive lipid lowering with that of conventional lipid lowering in patients underwent renal artery stenting (75 patients in each study group)
Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is the third most prevalent cardiovascular disease worldwide, with over 200 million people affected. Most prominent symptom is leg pain while walking known as intermittent claudication. Based on the currently existing gaps in the management of intermittent claudication, the objective of the this study is to explore the clinical effectiveness and cost advantage of TeGeCoach, a 12-month long home-based exercise program, compared to usual care. TeGeCoach consists of telephone health coaching, remote walking exercise monitoring based on wearable activity monitors and intensified primary care. It is hypothesized that TeGeCoach will improve functional outcomes and will reduce total health care costs.

Quantitative Flow Ratio (QFR) is a novel method for evaluating the functional significance of coronary stenosis. Virtual stent implantation technique combined with QFR was recently developed to predict the functional significance of coronary stenosis as if the stenosis was revascularized. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of QFR in in tandem lesions with fractional flow reserve (FFR) as the reference standard. The secondary purpose is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of QFR-based virtual stent technique in predicting the FFR values after revascularizing the culprit lesion.
By utilizing Near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), the local blood flow, tissue oxygenation (StO2), and recovery time of ischemic leg; can be determined. It is reasonable to standardize an easy, simple and safe Active Pedal Plantarflexion (APP) exercise test working load which can achieve the lowest StO2 and other parameters in ischemic leg through observation of NIRS. After standardized of an effective APP test, a determination of a new cutoff value of resting ABI in diagnosing PAD can probably be searched. Analysing the correlation of baPWV with ABI, atherosclerosis risk factors and parameters with atherosclerosis outcome. Observation the Sequential changes of baPWV, ABI and microalbuminuria after managing the atherosclerosis risks, and analyze their influence on the outcome of PAD, coronary artery disease(CAD) and cerebral vascular disease(CVA) outcomes.
