NCT ID: NCT05941689 Completed - Adenoma Colon Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Artificial Intelligence-assisted Colonic Polyp Detection System

Start date: July 25, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized controlled multicenter clinical trial of computer-aided detection (CADe) system for the adjuvant diagnosis of intestinal polyps/adenomas ever conducted in a Chinese population. In addition, this study will evaluate the effect of CADe system on adenoma detection of endoscopists under fatigue.

NCT ID: NCT05935124 Recruiting - Adenoma Colon Clinical Trials

A Randomized Comparison Between White Light Endoscopy (WLE) and Bright Narrow Band Imaging (B-NBI) in the Diagnosis of Right Sided Colonic Polyps in Asymptomatic Subjects Undergoing Screening Colonoscopy

WLEvsB-NBI
Start date: August 1, 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A randomized controlled crossover study to determine if narrow band imaging or white light endoscopy is superior in detecting right colonic polyps in average risk subjects undergoing screening colonoscopy

NCT ID: NCT05927961 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Primary Aldosteronism Due to Aldosterone Producing Adenoma

Spatial Proteomics Profiles of Aldosterone-producing Adenoma and Unilateral Hyperplasia

Start date: August 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Primary aldosteronism (PA) is a common cause of secondary hypertension, which is characterized by excessive aldosterone production by the adrenal gland. Excessive aldosterone can significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Patients with aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA) or unilateral hyperplasia (UAH) can be cured by unilateral adrenalectomy. The adrenal cortex is the outer part of the adrenal gland and is subdivided into three layers- the zona glomerulosa, the zona fasciculata, and the zona reticularis. And the outermost layer is the zona glomerulosa, and it's full of cells that make the hormone aldosterone. Although it has been investigated that the main cause of APA or UAH is the mutations of different calcium ion channels, including KCNJ5, CACNA1D, CLCN2 et al, it is still unknown whether there are any other changes of other proteins in different layers. Therefore, the investigators designed the study to characterize the proteomics profiles of adrenal adenoma/hyperplasia leading to primary aldosterone and identify biomarkers for early identification of PA by using spatial proteomics. The samples from adrenal adenoma or hyperplasia will be collected and analyzed by spatial proteomics in Hangzhou Jingjie Biotechnology Co., Ltd. The differentially expressed proteins in different layers will be screened out between APA and UAH, APA and its adjacent normal tissues, and UAH and its adjacent normal tissues, respectively. And KEGG analysis will be conducted to determine enriched pathway in these differentially expressed protein, respectively.

NCT ID: NCT05921396 Recruiting - Nasal Obstruction Clinical Trials

Nasal Obstruction Compared by Rhinomanometry and Nasal Inspiratory Peak Flow After Endoscopic Nasal Surgery

Start date: July 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the project is to determine whether nasal inspiratory peak flow is sufficient for preoperative and postoperative measurement of nasal patency compared to rhinomanometry.

NCT ID: NCT05913453 Completed - Colorectal Adenoma Clinical Trials

Technical Failure During Colorectal Endoscopic Full Thickness Resection (EFTR): The "Through Thick and Thin" Study

Start date: November 30, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Among advanced resection techniques, endoscopic full thickness resection (EFTR) allows closure and full-thickness resection by the use of the non-exposed full thickness resection device (FTRD). The study is a retrospective analysis of technical failure occurring during colorectal full-thickness resection. Full thickness resection is a safe and effective procedure for "difficult" colorectal lesions. However, technical failure can occur and to date there is no evidence about type and clinical consequences in this setting.

NCT ID: NCT05912764 Recruiting - Adenoma Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Early Home Return in Patients With Enucleation of Prostate Adenoma

PRECODOM
Start date: January 26, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Prostate adenoma management includes, if necessary, surgical treatments: resection or vaporization by endoscopy or by open surgery in case of a very large prostate. Laser technology is a curative treatment for prostate adenoma. The minimum duration of hospitalization, in the context of enucleation prostatic endoscopy by laser, is estimated at 48 hours. The Union Clinique has developed an improved rehabilitation care pathway reducing hospitalization duration to 24 hours (one night hospitalization). This care pathway involves patient as an actor in its care but also health professionals, in particular nurses. This study is based on the hypothesis that the model developed by the Union Clinique can be translated to other healthcare establishments and that home return supervized by nurses allows reducing hospital stay length without increasing the risk of serious complications for patients

NCT ID: NCT05891769 Recruiting - Parathyroid Adenoma Clinical Trials

99mTc Sestamibi SPECT/CT vs 18F Fluorocholine PET/CT

18FCH
Start date: September 27, 2023
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study proposes the use of a well-established PET isotope, Fluorine-18 (18F), bound to Choline, for a prospective single-center, single-arm study for participants with suspected parathyroid adenoma and negative or equivocal standard of care 99mTc Sestamibi SPECT/CT

NCT ID: NCT05877456 Enrolling by invitation - Colo-rectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Validation of the Global Polypectomy Assessment Tool (GPAT)

GPAT
Start date: March 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Colorectal polypectomy is offten incompletely performed with high variability between endoscopists, resulting in interval cancer or repeated procedures. Current available scoring systems for polypectomy technique are lacking in different areas so the investigators developed the Global Polypectomy Assessment Tool (GPAT) which is an online video-based assessment tool for any colorectal polypectomy. The goal of the study is to assess the validity of GPAT through demonstrating the inter-rater agreement (Fleiss Kappa (κ)). GPAT has 20 items, contains evidence-based statements to aid interpretation, calculates an overall quality score and a complexity score.

NCT ID: NCT05875584 Completed - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Exploratory Study of a Novel Based rbcDNA Liquid Biopsy Technique for Colorectal Cancer Early Detection

Start date: May 18, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Exploration of a novel rbcDNA liquid biopsy technique for early detection of colorectal cancer is a promising development in the field of disease diagnosis and screening. This technique has the potential to establish an efficient and sensitive system for the early detection of colorectal cancer, which can provide a new perspective for individual health monitoring.

Start date: April 30, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study is to Evaluate the diagnostic sensitivity of the serum metabolite based PrecogColo Dx test for advanced colorectal neoplasia Screening, including advanced adenoma and colorectal cancer. There are two steps in this study. Firstly, the diagnostic model is established based on tumor-specific and gut-microbiome related serum metabolites. Secondly, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the diagnostic model is evaluated in detecting advanced adenoma and colorectal cancer stages in an independent multi-centered cohort.
