NCT ID: NCT02725710 Completed - Clinical trials for Spontaneous Abortion

Gabapentin as an Adjunct to Perioperative Pain Management Regimens for Uterine Aspiration

GABA
Start date: August 2016
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized controlled double-blind placebo-controlled trial evaluating the impact of gabapentin given preoperatively on perioperative pain scores for women receiving uterine aspiration between 6 and 14+6 weeks gestation. This study will be a trial included in a prospective meta-analysis evaluating the use of gabapentin on perioperative pain in the abortion setting.

NCT ID: NCT02710006 Completed - Infertility, Clinical Trials

Automatic Volume Calculations During Three-dimensional Sonohysterography.

Start date: February 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the feasibility and reliability of automatic volume calculation of uterine cavity in women with reproductive failures. 3D volumes of uterus and uterine cavity will be acquired during three-dimensional ultrasonography and sonohysterography. After that independent observers will measure offline the uterine cavity volume using automatic volume calculation using SonoAVC general software, and VOCAL software.

NCT ID: NCT02694367 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Miscarriage

Expression of EPK in Recurrent Miscarriage

EPK-RM
Start date: January 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The present study is based on hypotheses that some as yet unknown genetic factors may result in recurrent miscarriage (RM). Consequently, the main aim of this study was to gain new information about the underlying genetic causes of RM in the Egyptian population and to investigate the expression of ERK and p-ERK protein in human placenta and their corresponding tissue, to assess the significance of MAPK signal pathway in progression of recurrent miscarriage and PI3K-Akt Pathway.

NCT ID: NCT02686840 Completed - Missed Abortion Clinical Trials

Sublingual Versus Vaginal Misoprostol In Medical Treatment of First Trimestric Missed Miscarriage

Start date: January 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this work is to compare the effectiveness of vaginal versus sub-lingual misoprostol for medical treatment of first trimester missed miscarriage.

NCT ID: NCT02681627 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Miscarriage

Sim (Scratch in Miscarriage) Study

SiM
Start date: November 30, 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

There is increasing amount of evidence which suggests that miscarriage is related to a primary endometrial problem. Recent cochrane meta-analysis (March 2015) has proven that endometrial scratch improves live birth in women who underwent IVF. The aim of the study is to find out if scratch of the endometrium prevents recurrent miscarriage.

NCT ID: NCT02657200 Completed - Clinical trials for Spontaneous Abortion

Knowledge, Attitude and Practices of Flemish Midwifes Regarding Spontaneous Abortion

KAP-abortion
Start date: September 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

KAP-study in Flemish midwives with intramural employment

NCT ID: NCT02572154 Completed - Clinical trials for RECURRENT PREGNANCY LOSS

Sperm DNA Fragmentation in Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

PARTHOM
Start date: September 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In human, 2% of couples experimented Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). Currently, while etiological investigations were performed, 40 to 50 % of RPL were unexplained. In animals' studies, several studies have underlined the importance of sperm quality for a normal embryo development. In human, epidemiological studies have demonstrated that several male risk factors have effects on development (male mediated development toxicology). However, few studies have explored sperm DNA fragmentation on embryo development but after in vitro fertilization. In natural pregnancy only rare studies have been performed but with different populations definitions and different methods of sperm exploration. In this context sperm DNA fragmentation exploration appears justified. The present study purpose to conduct a case - control study in order to research paternal role in RPL.

NCT ID: NCT02504281 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Miscarriage

Study on the Association Between SXCI and RM and the Possible Genetic Mechanism

Start date: January 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To determine whether there is higher incidence of skewed X chromosome inactivation(SXCI) in the recurrent miscarriage(RM) population compared with normal population, and verify the existing hypothesis of the possible genetic mechanisms underlying the association between SXCI and RM.

NCT ID: NCT02405156 Completed - Miscarriage Clinical Trials

Letrozole Pretreatment With Misoprostol for Second-Trimester Medical Abortion

Start date: March 2015
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To compare the success rate of letrozole and misoprostol versus misoprostol alone for medical termination of pregnancy in second trimester abortion.

NCT ID: NCT02391610 Completed - Birth Defects Clinical Trials

The China-Anhui Birth Cohort Study (C-ABCS)

Start date: November 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The China-Anhui Birth Cohort Study (C-ABCS) was set up to examine the delayed, cumulative and interactive effects of maternal environmental exposures on birth outcomes and children's development. The C-ABCS recruited pregnant women from six major cities of Anhui province, China, between November 2008 and October 2010. A range of data (including demographic, obstetric, occupational, nutritional and psychosocial factors) were collected by both interviews and laboratory tests. In each trimester, women's blood samples were drawn, and pregnancy complications were abstracted from physician's medical records. By the end of 2011, birth outcomes/birth defects were observed/identified by clinicians within 12 months after the delivery of 11 421 singleton live births of six cities and those outcomes among the remaining 2033 live births are still being observed. In addition, 4668 children from Ma'anshan city will be further followed up during the pre-school period till they reach adolescence to obtain the data on familial environmental exposures as well as children's physical, psychological, behavioural and sexual development. The interview data and information on laboratory examinations are available on request from archives in the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Population Health & Aristogenics.
