Filter by:Spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas (SDAVFs) are the most common vascular disorder of the spine and account for approximately 70% of spinal vascular malformation. They are a rare pathology with an excepted incidence of only 5-10 new cases per million inhabitants per year. Most fistulas are found in the thoracolumbar region and > 80% of all SDAVFs are located between T6 and L2, whereas the cranio-cervical, cervical and sacral fistulas are more rare. SDAVFs have an overwhelmingly male predominance (80%), with an age presentation in the fifth or sixth dacede. It is presumed that SDAVFs are acquired diseases. A typical SDAVF is located inside the dural mater close to nerve root. It is fed by a radiculomeningeal artery and enters a radicular vein that merges in the perimedullary plexus. The presence of a shunt leads to a reversal of blood flow to the spinal cord venous system, which then induces venous hypertensive myelopathy.
Quantitative Flow Ratio (QFR) is a novel method for evaluating the functional significance of coronary stenosis. The purpose of the FAVOR II China study is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of on-line QFR with FFR as the reference standard. The secondary purpose is to compare the diagnostic accuracies between online QFR and online QCA, with FFR as the reference standard.
This is a prospective, multicenter, single-arm clinical trial to evaluate safety and efficacy of a steerable catheter in the establishment of vascular intervention access. five centers participate in this study. The total enrollment number is 68. In the procedure of vascular interventional surgery or angiography diagnosis, the steerable catheter are used to building vascular interventional access. Evaluate the safety and efficacy of the product, by the observation and record the relative index of subjects intraoperative and postoperative (discharge) before and after 30 days .
The pulmonary vasculopathy and right heart dysfunction in COPD are drawing increasing attention these days. Recent researches show that pulmonary vasculopathy and right heart dysfunction relate to greater severity in COPD. Applying appropriate modalities for early detection of pulmonary vasculopathy and right heart dysfunction is of great importance. What's more, the interaction mechanism between pulmonary vasculature, right heart and COPD still needs to be further studied. The aim of our study is to develop an assessment system of pulmonary vasculopathy and right heart dysfunction in COPD patients and elucidate their impact on COPD course and outcome.
The purpose of this trial is to collect safety and effectiveness data to support peripheral vascular indication of XenoSure biologic patch. This trial is performed to meet the China FDA regulation in this kind of device. The clinical trial will be performed solely inside China under GCP regulation and all applicable China regulations on medical device clinical trial.
To assess the efficacy of intravitreal injection of 0.5 mg conbercept in patients with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) and explore the optimal route of administration.
FAST is an investigator-initiated multicenter study embedded in a German multistate acute stroke network. The main objectives of the FAST study are to improve outcomes and quality of care for stroke patients, to quantify the number of patients in need of thrombectomy within an integrated stroke network, to study the best way of delivering and performing thrombectomy and to investigate the best model of pre-hospital selection and referral for stroke patients.
This is a study to evaluate whether macitentan is an effective and safe treatment for patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and pulmonary vascular disease. The primary objective is to evaluate whether macitentan 10 mg reduces N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-pro-BNP) as compared to placebo in these patients.
The NVS Therapy is being studied to evaluate the safety and efficacy of retention of acute luminal gain, leading to acute hemodynamic improvement in superficial femoral and popliteal arteries with reference vessel diameters between 3.5 and 7.0 mm and lesion lengths between 36 and 96mm. The system is intended for use in patients with de novo lesions in the superficial femoral and proximal popliteal arteries.
The study is aimed at collecting preliminary safety and efficacy data related to the use of Drug Coated Balloon (DCB) technology for the treatment of symptomatic Superficial Femoral Artery (SFA) ischemic vascular disease in patients presenting with long lesions. The present clinical evaluation is intended as a prospective observational data collection of patient treatment in full accordance with institution standard practice and utilizing an approved (CE marked) DCB currently available on the market.
