This research is studying whether changing an individual's diet may have an impact as a treatment or outcome for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). This research will show if diet might play a role in triggering changes that may cause IBS. This study is being done to learn if a low FODMAP (fermentable, oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols) diet causes changes in the colon lining which mediates improvement in IBS symptoms.

This phase Ib/II trial identifies the best dose and possible benefits and/or side effects of magrolimab when given in combination with mogamulizumab in treating patients with stage IB-IV mycosis fungoides or Sezary syndrome types of T-cell lymphoma that has come back (relapsed) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Magrolimab and mogamulizumab are monoclonal antibodies that may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Treatment with magrolimab in combination with mogamulizumab may stabilize cancer for longer period than the usual treatment in patients with relapsed/refractory T-cell lymphoma who have been previously treated.

PEMF Therapy to Treat Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome

The purpose of this study is to gather information from the investigation of a non-pharmacological (non-drug) treatment known as low frequency pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF). The study team will be distributing the PEMF therapy to female subjects with Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS) to measure its ability to decrease pelvic pain. The results, from multiple questionnaires and voiding diaries, will be compared when participants are enrolled for treatment, at 4 weeks after using PEMF therapy, and 12 weeks post-enrollment.

Safety and Efficacy of Dapansutrile for Treatment of Moderate COVID-19 Symptoms and Evidence of Early Cytokine Release Syndrome

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of orally administered NLRP3 inhibitor, dapansutrile, for the treatment of moderate COVID-19 symptoms and early cytokine release syndrome (CRS) in patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection and moderate symptoms. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by infection from a new strain of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). COVID-19 is characterized by fever, cough and shortness of breath, which in certain patients can lead to systemic organ failure and mortality. The data show that SARS-CoV-2 activates the innate immune signaling sensor NLRP3. Activation of NLRP3 initiates the cytokine release syndrome (CRS), which includes the production of primary cytokine, IL-1, triggering an intense inflammatory response that is prevalent in symptomatic COVID-19 patients. When CRS advances further to a fulminant 'cytokine storm', the data show that respiratory distress syndrome and multiple-organ failure take place. A specific inhibitor of NLRP3, dapansutrile may reduce or prevent the hyperinflammation associated with CRS by inhibiting the production of IL-1β early to arrest the progression to a severe 'cytokine storm.' The end result would be a reduction in the need for COVID-19 patients to receive intensive medical treatment, allowing for fewer hospitalizations, administration of mechanical ventilation and deaths.

Background: There is a lack of data on the effect of air pollution on acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in industrial and non-industrial areas. Objectives: A comparison of association of air pollution exposure with ACS in two cohorts of industrially different areas. Materials and methods: The study covered 6,000,000 person-years of follow-up and five types of air pollution between 2008 and 2017. A time series regression analysis with 7-lag was used to assess the effects air pollution on ACS.

This study will analyze the effects of a non-invasive radiofrequency diathermy device added to knee exercises on the symptoms of patellofemoral pain syndrome. For this aim, a randomized clinical trial will be carried out with a control group that will perform supervised exercises and an experimental group that will add radiofrequency diathermy to supervised exercises. Diathermy treatment will be performed along three weeks, ten treatment sessions in total, while supervised exercises will be performed daily. Outcomes to measure will include pain, knee function and quality of life
