Filter by:Adolescents and young adults (AYA) patients experience significant distress in specific areas at diagnosis. The investigators hypothesize that providing developmentally-appropriate AYA-specific psychosocial care, with an individualized multi-disciplinary program will alleviate this distress, as well as improve health-related quality of life (HRQOL). The investigators' primary aim is to evaluate the impact of psychosocial interventions on HRQOL. The secondary aims are to firstly identify the types of psychosocial distress experienced and secondly, to assess the feasibility of implementing a psychosocial screening and intervention program amongst AYA patients newly diagnosed with cancer.
This is a single-arm open-label phase Ib/II clinical study assessing the efficacy of concurrent high dose ascorbate in combination with radiotherapy in patients with locally advanced, resectable, high grade sarcomas.
No prospective data exist about long term morbidity and quality of life after multivisceral surgical resection for retroperitoneal soft tissue sarcoma (RSTS). In order to assess the safety of this surgical approach and the effect on the Quality of Life over the long period we propose a prospective observational study. The hypothesis is that the surgical treatment has no significant impact in determining a lower Quality of Life in the long term. Objectives Primary objective Estimate the difference between baseline and 4 and 12 months scores of the "global health status / QoL" scale in patients primarily treated for localized RSTS, as determined in QLQ-C30 version 3.0. Secondary objectives - Evaluate the long term morbidity of aggressive surgical approach to RSTS in terms of renal failure. - Evaluate the difference between baseline and 4 and 12 months scores of DN4 / LEFS / BPI questionnaires. - Evaluate the difference between baseline and 4 and 12 months scores of the following scales from QLC-C30: PF2, RF2, EF, CF, SF, FA, FI. - Evaluate the difference between baseline and 4 and 12 months scores of the following scales and single items from QLC-C29: Blood and mucus in stool, Stool frequency, Sexual interest, Impotence, Dyspareunia. - To correlate the surgical resection pattern (number and type of organs resected) and the tumor features (size, grading and histological subtype) with the long-term morbidity and quality of life. Eligibility Inclusion criteria - Adult patients (age > 18 years) with primary localized RSTS surgically treated at our institution - Written, voluntary, informed consent Exclusion criteria - Recurrent disease

Immunotherapy + Radiation in Resectable Soft Tissue Sarcoma
The main purpose of this trial is to investigate the safety and tolerability of NY-ESO-1(TCR Affinity Enhancing Specific T cell Therapy)in the first-line treatment failed advanced bone and soft tissue sarcoma. The secondary purpose of this trial is to investigate the efficacy of NY-ESO-1(TCR Affinity Enhancing Specific T cell Therapy)in the first-line treatment failed advanced bone and soft tissue sarcoma.
This phase II trial studies how well autologous tumor infiltrating lymphocytes LN-145 (LN-145) or LN-145-S1 works in treating patients with ovarian cancer, triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), anaplastic thyroid cancer, osteosarcoma, or other bone and soft tissue sarcomas that do not respond to treatment (refractory) or that has come back (relapsed). LN-145 is made by collecting and growing specialized white blood cells (called T-cells) that are collected from the patient's tumor. LN-145-S1 is made using a modified process that chooses a specific portion of the T-cells. The T cells may specifically recognize, target, and kill the tumor cells.
The purpose of this study is to test any good and bad effects of the combination therapy of epacadostat and pembrolizumab and to determine how well the combination therapy works in the treatment of patients with sarcoma.
This trial is a multicenter, prospective cohort study aiming to describe molecular profiles of soft tissue sarcoma (STS) with complex genomic profiles in particular to assess the incidence of NTRK1/2/3, ROS1 or ALK gene fusions to direct such patients through an ongoing clinical trial with entrectinib when appropriate. An exploratory translational program is also correlated to this trial in order to analyse immune gene expression.
Project HERO is a 12-week study of the efficacy of Body Mind Training (BMT) for reducing fatigue in male cancer survivors. This 3-arm randomized clinical trial will examine inflammatory biology and selected gene-expression pathways that are hypothesized to contribute to the intervention's effect.
