View clinical trials related to Renal Insufficiency, Chronic.
Filter by:Participants'll include 140 adult patients with CKD and receiving hemodialysis in our hospital, and divided them into 2 groups. Control group will receive placebo medication therapy; resveratrol group will receive oral resveratrol (100 mg per day). All participants will receive either treatment for 1year, and receive examinations of pure tone audiometry, speech reception thresholds, and speech discrimination score.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Molidustat in dialysis subjects with renal anemia who are not treated with Erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents (ESAs)
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of molidustat in non-dialysis subjects previously treated with Erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents (ESAs)
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of molidustat in non-dialysis subjects with renal anemia who are not treated with Erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents (ESAs).
The modern era is characterized by progress, development and social and economic globalization. Currently the electronic technology has applications in a wide variety of work areas. A clear example of this, is telemedicine. The technological tools are increasingly used every day in the improvement of the processes and the attention in health, in the last decades, telemedicine has grown exponentially becoming more accessible to the population. On the other hand, and in the same way, the number of people with chronic degenerative diseases such as diabetes and chronic kidney disease are increasing with alarming numbers, The health system can not offer the attention to the great demand. The strategies used until now for its management have gradually evolved towards a more effective prevention and treatment approach which requires a multidisciplinary team. Investigate the use of new tools that promise to improve the service, has also become a prevailing need. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to know the effect of nutritional teleconsultation on renal function and glycemic control of patients with Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) in pre-dialysis stages (specifically G3a, G3b and G4).
Patients who receive dialysis for kidney failure suffer severe cognitive impairment. Hemodialysis causes circulatory stress and ischemia, which causes severe brain injury. It has been demonstrated that a procedure known as Remote Ischemic Preconditioning(RIPC), which involves wrapping a blood pressure cuff around a patient's leg and inflating has the potential of protecting many organs, such as the heart from the effects of dialysis. Our study aims to investigate this phenomenon to determine the extent to which it provides protection to a dialysis patient's brain.
Chronic renal disease (CKD) is defined as a decrease in glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and / or proteinuria or albuminuria (a protein present in urine). Albuminuria is considered a marker of endothelial dysfunction. Proteinuria and / or albuminuria are recognized as cardiovascular risk factors in both diabetic and non-diabetic populations, independently of GFR. It is also a marker of progression of kidney disease. cluster of differentiation 146 (CD146) is an endothelial adhesion molecule with preferential localization in the junction. Soluble CD146 (or CD146s). CD146s is a biomarker of endothelial dysfunction that is easy to assay. The increase in CD146 levels was described during the MRC, especially in diabetic patients with significant proteinuria. In two independent cohorts of patients with CDR, CD146s did not correlate with creatinine or GFR but appeared to correlate with proteinuria. The aim of our study is to determine whether the blood concentration of CD146s is correlated with proteinuria independently of GFR. For this purpose, we propose this study in the kidney nephrology and transplantation center of Conception Hospital, with the objective of highlighting the link between proteinuria and serum CD146 levels in patients with CKD, whatever their renal function and / or underlying pathology. 205 patients will be included over two years with dosing of CD146s and proteinuria at the same time. These 205 patients will be recruited at each stage of the CKD (41 in each arm). CD146s could be a new biomarker predicting the risk of renal function impairment or cardiovascular risk independent of renal function.
For Non-dialysis subjects with anemia associated with chronic kidney disease, demonstrate non-inferiority of MT-6548 compared to darbepoetin alfa using Hb value and evaluate long-term safety of MT-6548. For subjects not currently receiving ESAs, evaluate Hb correction and maintenance effect of MT-6548 and for subjects currently receiving ESAs, evaluate Hb conversion and maintenance effect of MT-6548
Anticalin® proteins are engineered human proteins that are able to bind specific target molecules. The Anticalin PRS-080#022-DP to be investigated in this study is directed against hepcidin and is intended for the treatment of anemia of chronic disease. This pilot Phase 2a study shall investigate the safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of repeated administrations of PRS-080#022-DP in anemic stage 5 chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients undergoing hemodialysis.
The study aims to determine if use of physical activity trackers coupled with provider feedback will increase awareness of young adults of their physical fitness and improve blood pressure levels. The goal of this pilot study is feasibility, with a secondary goal of examining potential effect sizes for planning purposes for a larger randomized controlled trial.
