This phase I/II trial evaluates the highest safe dose, side effects, and possible benefits of tegavivint in treating patients with solid tumors that has come back (recurrent) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Tegavivint interferes with the binding of beta-catenin to TBL1, which may help stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the signals passed from one molecule to another inside a cell that tell a cell to grow.

Desarda Repair Compared to Lichtenstein Repair for the Treatment of Inguinal Hernias

The Lichtenstein technique for hernia repair is safe and simple, but the underlying mesh prosthesis has its setbacks, as it acts as a mechanical barrier5. The mesh does not provide mobile and the physiologically dynamic posterior wall. The most dangerous complication associated with the mesh prosthesis is its migration from the abdominal cavity's primary implantation site. The relatively knew technique developed by Dr. Desarda does not utilize the synthetic mesh rather it uses a strip of external oblique aponeurosis to strengthen the posterior wall. Our study has compared the two methods regarding various aspects.

This phase I trial is to find out the best dose, possible benefits and/or side effects of third-party natural killer cells in combination with mogamulizumab in treating patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma or adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma that has come back (relapsed) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Immunotherapy with third-party natural killer cells, may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Mogamulizumab is a monoclonal antibody that may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Giving third-party natural killer cells in combination with mogamulizumab may kill more cancer cells.

Ga-68 PSMA-11 PET/CT is known as useful method for localizing recurred tumor lesions in prostate cancer patients with biochemical recurrence [elevated serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) after radical prostatectomy]. The recent digital PET/CT which is known to show better resolution and sensitivity than analogue PET/CT may have better performance for detecting early small recurred tumor lesions. This study is intended to compare the diagnostic performance (detection rate and positive predictive value) of Ga-68 PSMA-11 PET/CT using analogue PET/CT scanner and digital PET/CT scanner in same patients who had biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer.

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most common bacterial infections worldwide. It affects 150 million people annually. Treatment of patients with UTI entails a high consumption of antibiotics and large social and health costs. With this protocol, we want to elucidate alternative treatment methods for especially recurrent urinary tract infection. Bacteria have internal competitiveness (bacterial interference) and it is known that the non-pathogenic E.coli can outcompete the pathogenic E.coli in laboratory studies. We intend to strengthen the clinical evidence that it can be used as patient treatment through a clinical, placebo-controlled, double-blind trial at Odense University Hospital.
