Filter by:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the acceptability and efficacy of a self-guided behavioral health tool delivered by mobile app (called "Renew") for people who are experiencing symptoms of posttraumatic stress. This study also aims to determine the necessity of coaching support over and above support from peers, shedding light on the critical question of level of support resources needed to maintain mHealth app engagement.
The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of tDCS timing on safety memory in PTSD. A total of 90 participants will be randomized equally across one of three groups: 1. One group receiving active stimulation during extinction and sham during consolidation 2. One group receiving sham stimulation during extinction and active during consolidation 3. One group receiving sham stimulation both during extinction and consolidation This study will also include an online sub-study focused on contextual processing along the PTSD spectrum. A maximum of 500 participants will be recruited using an online, panel-based platform.
This is a pilot study of 55 adult male veterans with PTSD. The study will test a new mobile application "app" that can be run on an iPhone10. The app, which is called the Mobile Acoustic startle Reflex-monitoring System (a.k.a., MARS), will be used to measure participant's acoustic startle in sitting or standing postures.
This study aims to test whether aerobic exercise performed after fear extinction learning improves the consolidation and subsequent recall of the learned safety memories (i.e., fear extinction memories) among adult women with PTSD related to interpersonal violence exposure, and whether this effect is mediated by the ability of exercise to increase acute levels of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) and endocannabinoids (eCB). Participants can expect to be on study for up to 90 days, participating in 4 study stages: Day 1 of Assessments, Day 2 of Fear Learning, Day 3 of Fear Extinction (and activity), and Day 4 of Recall of Fear Extinction.
The purpose of this study is to determine if a 6-week period of ketone salt supplementation affects physiological, emotional, cognitive, and/or behavioral health markers in individuals with PTSD.

This study evaluates the effects of a 10-session physical activity intervention for trauma afflicted refugees. Half of participants will receive this 10-session physical activity intervention and half of the participants will be allocated to the control group.
PTSD is characterized by physiological changes, some of which are thought to be chronic, while others are observed in response to stressogenic stimuli. Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy is a widely used protocol considered highly affective among individuals diagnosed with PTSD. The current study is a non-interventional observational study, aimed at measuring changes in the digital phenotype of participants with PTSD during and following PE therapy. Physiological data will be collected using wearable sensors during the sessions, and participants will be assessed using questionnaires and psychiatric assessments before and after the completion of their imaginal or writing based PE therapy (10-15 sessions).
