The purpose of this study is to assess the level of vaccine confidence and influencers among pregnant women and mothers of school-aged children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NCT ID: NCT04693572 Not yet recruiting - Anesthesia Clinical Trials

Anesthetic Considerations for Repeat Cesarean Section - a Prospective Study

Start date: January 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The purpose of this study is to examine the anesthetic considerations and outcomes during repeated caesarean section and to compare such considerations in low-order vs high-order repeated caesarean sections.

Doppler Ultrasonographic Assessment of Fetal Internal Thoracic Artery Indexes

Start date: January 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to assess the feasibility of visualizing the internal thoracic artery (ITA), establishing the normogram for ITA pulsatility index (PI), resistance index (RI) and acceleration/ejection time (AT/ET) at 24-32 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT04682002 Not yet recruiting - Low Back Pain Clinical Trials

Low-back Pain During Pregnancy and Its Psycho-social Implications

Start date: December 15, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain (PPP) and pregnancy-related lumbar pain (PLBP) are two distinct symptoms, which can occur together as lumbar-pelvic pain. The primary objective is to measure the impact of osteopathic manipulative treatment on pregnancy-related lumbar and pelvic pain. The secondary objective is to study the interaction between pain and psycho-social factors during the gestational period.

Mueller Polarimetric Colposcopy for High-performance Detection of Cervical Changes During Pregnancy

COLPOTERME
Start date: December 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Mueller polarimetric colposcopy appears to be a powerful tool for evaluating cervical microstructure modification during pregnancy. Some polarimetric parameters of the uterine cervix can be correlated with the gestational age. The uterine cervix's polarimetric analysis could make it possible to accurately predict the term of childbirth and be used as a screening tool for preterm birth.

Manual Physical Therapy During Pregnancy on Post Partum Perineal Trauma and Pain

Start date: February 15, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of pelvic floor physical therapy during pregnancy on delivery and the impact on the woman's body and function. Currently there have not been any studies to our knowledge that have examined this relationship and the outcomes for the pregnant patient. The current research that is available is on pelvic floor training and perineal massage during pregnancy with positive outcomes. The questions we are looking to answer include: 1. Does pelvic floor physical therapy during pregnancy decrease the severity of perineal trauma during delivery? 2. Does pelvic floor physical therapy during pregnancy decrease the length of the second stage of labor (pushing)? 3. Does pelvic floor physical therapy during pregnancy decrease the occurrence of emergency C-section?

Assessment of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Patients Monitored for Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Seroconversion During Pregnancy,

PTSD CMV
Start date: May 2, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Reports of maternal seroconversion to CMV during pregnancy can be extremely stressful. This virus is little known to the general public and searching for information on the Internet quickly leads to a consultation of a site mentioning the risk of severe psychomotor retardation in the event of prenatal cytomegalovirus infection. The psychological repercussions in the event of prenatal CMV infection with criteria of severity, leading or not to a request for IMG, is undeniable, but no study has investigated the consequences of seroconversion to CMV without transmission of the virus to the patient fetus, or in the case of transmission without criteria of seriousness, on the patient's experience during and after her pregnancy. Such a study would, if necessary, improve the care and support of these future mothers

NCT ID: NCT04651309 Completed - Pregnancy Related Clinical Trials

Assessment of Labour Progress by Intrapartum Ultrasound

Start date: August 27, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Assessment of labor progress via digital exams is considered the standard of care in most delivery rooms. However, this method can be stressful, painful and imprecise and multiple exams increase the risk for chorioamnionitis. Trans-perineal ultrasound (TPUS) was found to be an objective noninvasive way to monitor labor progress. The study aim is to investigate whether, in nulliparous women, the use of TPUS during labor can reduce the number of vaginal exams and the incidence of chorioamnionitis.
